Imo, the only thing the Wii did was further separate the "casual" from the "hardcore." Next gen, all I see is Nintendo sticking to it's casual market, Microsoft sticking to the hardcore and Sony continuing to attempt to strike a balance.

why worry? because companies tend to go where the sales are, they are looking for the best way to make money after all is said and done

I am definately worried. I'm hoping we don't see Halo with a Wiimote type controller.waynehead895

my worst nightmare....let the Wii be the Wii and please let us use our gamepads....I would quit gaming if it is all wiimotes

Wii have to stop supprting the wii and stop pretending its fun so that nintendo notices this, thats the only way its gonna change. i've been trying to say this when the wii first came out. i said its not going to be loved by the true gamers and i said that it will have no games in future but they just flamed me.

Another way is to just kill those sheep and those pl that like the wii in your house :twisted:

If that were the case, then a lot of multi-plat games this gen wouldn't be 360/PS3 only.

haha yea my aunt has a wii and the only game she has is wii sports and wii fit. it is annoying when she says how great the wii is because shes not even playing the few good games on it, but i just let it go and dont say anything

Yea and i hate it when ppl say how great the wii isand it has so many good games on it. They obviously dont know anything video games and dont listen to me when i try to explain them that its not that good, they just ignore me. Makes me want to throw my wii out of the window.

haha thats why its not worth trying to explain to them. they arent hardcore gamers and deserve to have their system but i dont want that affecting the hardcore systems at all

its just an option for devs to use... it doesnt have to be applied

also, dont forget that sony pretty much started this casual movement anyway

the Wii just applies to different people.... its only a bad thing to hardcore gamers that are used to their usual lot of games.

but its not like the Wii has turned its back on the 'core' nintendo audience. the Wii already has had the big games from Nintendo released within 1 1/2 years: Zelda, Metroid, Mario, SSBB, MKWii...

those are pretty much the games that 'core' nintendo gamers are accustomed to...
