Ok I just got my 360 this week, and I've been comparing the controllers of all 3 consoles, and honestly I have to say that the Wii still feels better to the hand, but I have to give the PS3 and 360 a tie when it comes to the controller, I really can't compare between the two. Which one do you guy's think is better?

I like the PS3 controller more. It doesn't have any problems with me. If the 360 d-pad wasn't broken, then it would be a tie. Don't get me started on the wii-mote though. I really do not like it.

360 controller because it actually contours perfectly to your hands.

Meh Wii. Don't really care for it. Not bad, but I don't like it more than other things.

Dualshock's analog sticks are far too close if your hands are any bigger than a pre-pubescent girls' hands.

It depends entirely on the game. I like the 360 controller for shooters (I hate shooters granted), PS3 controller for fighters (even if the triggers make me want to punch something) and the wiimote for quirky stuff, PC like like World of Goo or lost winds. I guess in terms of ranking it would be

Wiimote = Depends
360 controller = Depends
PS3 Controller = Depends
Winner = me.

I like the 360 controller a lot but have no problems with the PS3 Dualshock. I am baffled at some of the complaints for the PS3 controller honestly.

The Wii controller is so well designed.

I would honestly have to say the 360 controller. I prefer the analog sticks to the directional pad.

The PS3 controller feels uncomfortable for some reason.

The Wii conrtols have their place. They are great for sports games, sword fights, and pretty much most things except FPS shooters (aiming is a pain) and platformers (you don't need them for just moving and jumping.) However, some games use a balance between regular controls and motion controls, like Mario Galaxy. As much as I like them in most situations, there are still a few situations where I don't. That does not make them the best.

I will try not to start getting into too much detail, like I usually do.

360 is extremely well designed (considering MS hardware record you would think otherwise :P) and it has the right amount of weight for me unlike the PS3 control which without dual shock, feels like some cheap plastic. As for the wii, well it's fun when implemented well.

I like the PS controller except for shooters. I also really hate what they did with the Triggers. I prefered it on dualshock 2. But overall it still takes a dump on the 360's sorry excuse for a Dpad.

I would say the 360, and by a good margin. It's ergonomic design added to the placement of the triggers and thumbsticks makes it perfect IMO. The Wii controllers are pretty cool for certain types of games too. As for the dualshock, it definitely needs an update for first person shooters...

I like the 360 controller the best, as far as dual-analog controllers go. Wii controller is good when the games are made with the controller in mind. Not when it's tacked on.

The Wii has THREE controllers and they all feel comfortable. Classic Controller is great for fighting games and the Classic Controller Pro is pretty much a ghetto PS2 controller (which is a good thing). GC controller is good for adventure games and platformers, and the Wii-remote/nunchuck combo can be great for different genres depending on how the controls are implemented (bad at most fighting games though, but we have GC and Classic controllers covering that).

keyboard and mouse are by far the best and the PS3 second place by just a hair. for a console however it is simply what you are used to. IN system wars you can NOT exlude the PC. the is NOT console wars this is SYSTEM wars IMO the keyboard/mouse should included.

Well that's just ridiculous :P With the Wiimote/Nunchuck combo, you're allowed to be in way more different positions than with the 360/PS3 controllers.

The 360 controller is my favorite. I love the button layout and it fits perfectly in my hands. The Dualshock controller feels a little awkward but its also decent. The wii controller (speaking of the wand and "nunchuck") is my least favorite; a single analog stick is just bad and I hate waggle controls.

360. Hate the PS3s analogs, they move to easy, and my hands just feel cramped on them, especially after being spoiled by sheer comfort in the 360s.

Let's not be subjective here.

360 is as standard as it can get. PS3s adds motion. Wii has the classic controller for a standard layout that is equal to the 360. The Motion and pointer function of the remote stole this generation of consoles. There is little to argue about.

There should be less "oh it feels perfect in my hands". Come on... I can pick up any gamepad and use it just as well as any other.

They all have their ups and downs. The good thing about the Wii, you have more than one controlelr to choose from. The regualr Wiimote is better for pretty mucheverything, except button mashers, and fighting games...which are sometimes, the same thing. But then you have the classic controller and the GCN controller which take those places. IMO, the GCN is the best controler for fighting games. I have yet to lay my hands on a classic controller to say anything however.

Wiimote : Good with games designed by Nintendo First-Party (most of them). Terrible for most shovelware. PS3 : Well-rounded controller suitable for all genres. More suitable for action platformers and fighters. Decent for shooters. 360 : Another well-rounded controller suitable for all genres. Excellent with shooters, but terrible with fighters. Decent at everything else. Overall : PS3, if only because I don't play shooters on consoles too often (PC hermit), and I hate the 360 gamepad for my fighter games, and some action games like DMC4.

It is most definitely the Wii. That console was sold based on the controller. I mean it wasn't the consoles graphics/games/multi media functionality that sold out the console for like two years it was the prospect of new interactions with a virtual world. Anyone who voted other wise is not thinking straight.

WHY - PS3 controller has dual shock - Wii has the Wiimote so what it the reason for you to call the 360 to be "easily" the best?

Is it what you are used to - that is a valid reason if you have nothing else.

Personally I still find the keyboard and mouse BY FAR to be far superior to the rest of them - it has the most options and is the only one you can set up properly as a left - handed a controller system.

A couple others have that option but it is lame at best.

Yeah, control sticks don't stand a chance against mouse+keyboard in a shooter.
