I got the Total Annihilation Commander Pack back in the day(TA+both expansions+large strat book), MOHAA big box that included Spearhead and 2 strategy guides, B&W Edition that came with a bonus disk with creatures, Forza Collector's Edition at launch and just grabbed Forza 2 Collector's Edition a few hours ago.

Only if they've got good enough bonuses. Stranglehold Limited Edition coming with a Hard Boiled on Blu-Ray for example, interests me.

Only if it comes with something that interests me. The only limited editions I've bought are the Jade Empire and Forza 2 limited editions, and thats because they came with bonus content (new character type in JE, 3 extra cars with Forza 2).

The Forza 2 one is really good. The extra book you get is really nice...and insightful.

I usually splash out the extra money if I think a game is going to be a classic or is innovative in some way. that's why i have Dead Rising and Viva Pinata.

The only Collectors edition i ever bought was for FF XII, just becasue i love FF so much. the rest of the time, the extras just never seem worth the extra money. actually, i bought the jade empire SE as well, but only becasue it was the same price as the standard edition.

The book was cool with the background it gives on each automaker, but I wish it had more info on fine-tuning. Also, besides the Stradale, the Saleen and the Impreza, what is the other bonus content it has? I read it has those on the back cover, but I'll only be able to play it after tomorrow when I get home.

I've never bought a limited edition game in my life. They just don't come with enough to warrant that extra $5 or $10.

You my sir are part of the problem. Why do you think we(360 gamers) have to pay $60 for a game while PC has to play $50. It is because people like you played $60 for limited editions. Once that happened they knew we would pay $60 for the game. So you are just setting us up to pay $70 in the gen after this one.

 Sorry. I buy consoles at launch, proving that I'm happy to pay $300-$400?? Have Cows now proved that people are happy to spend $600 on a console?

I believe that all that I am setting us up for is more Limited Edition games.

Meee! I have to buy the Limited Editions, but I don't have too many :(. But I do also have to buy the guidebook if there is one. I have them for about 10 games, which is admittedly about 10% of my games, but every little helps.

If it's available, sure, I'll buy the Collector's Edition versions of games...but I usually miss out on them, or forget that they have CEs.

I buy the limited edition depending on the game, if it's a real high quality game that I know I'll always remember and want to play again I'll usually buy the limited edition if there is one. Although the extra's also play a role but as long as they include an extra DVD with extra content and an artbook or something then I'm satisfied, that is if the game is great...

Don't get the guide without looking for reviews on Amazon. What's written there is true as far as I can tell, i.e. the contents pages is definitly wrong. "Car Customization-> P190" on the contents page is on the actual Page 190 track maps for Maple Valley. I had to bend it in all kind of ways to tell through the stupid seal GAME put on their guides. I'm returning it on the grounds it's "broken".

Only special edition thing I'e ever bought is God of War 2, and that's because there is no regular edition. Comes with an extra disc of tons of extras for no extra price. That's how it should be done.

I only have the Collector's Edition of Medieval 2: Total War so far, it had a lot of extras and wasn't much more expensive than the regular version.
