I'm an ignorant American; what the hell are crisps?
Officially it should be sales. PS2 is the only console that has been my favorite and won in sales. Genesis, Saturn and PS3 are all sales losers in their respective gen, but I had way more fun with them than I did with the "winners." I would almost not count Wii; its too different than 360 and PS3. Its similar to how we haven't declared Nintendo DS the winner because its a portable.
Wii
Best games and best sales. At least for a console. TBH, they kinda won by default.
DaBrainz
oh good sir i beg to differ.
[QUOTE="lancer_87"]What? The next gen is always the one after the current, therefore the next gen would be the PS4, Xbox 720 and the WooThe next gen hasnt even started. So,how exactly can we define a winner ?
kingtito
Sales will determine theactual winner that the majority can agree on,even though we all have owned winners and losers and have different gaming tastes and opinionsotherwiseit would just get crazy and people can rewrite historywith their personalopinion and say crazy stuff like 'Sony never won a singlegeneration, causeSega and Nintendo had better games' etc. etc..We got to bebetter than that and beobjective andhave order.
is the winner based on sales? Or general gaming experience? Or maybe based on profit? Last generation it was easy, ps2 won in all these categories. this generation, the wii has sold like cakes at a weight watcher convention, the ps3, like vegetables, and the xbox like crisps. But in-turn, the wiis gaming experience has been piss poor(pun intended), the ps3s hasnt been a lot better. the xbox has been the best. So who's the winner, the xbox or the wii? maybe you think im wrong, and the wiis/ps3 gaming experience has been better the 360s? but if you think that then your wrong lol.Twinbladez90210Honestly, I wouldnt think you could even start thinking about something like this until the generation is over. But as others have said, if your console(s) of choice make you happy, then you win. End of story.
