It's classic. I grew up on N64 (and NES)... kinda cool to go back and play MK64, SM64, B-K, Rayman 2, DK64, Mega Man 64, Kirby 64, SSB, DKR, Pokemon Stadium, Paper Mario, etc.
I still play StarFox, Perfect Dark and Jet Force Gemini. Those challenges (PD) were like early achievements and i'm still upset that I can't beat DarkSims. Every now and then I play it and get back to being really good... only to realize why I gave up and stopped trying to beat those damn things. They get frickin head shots with unscoped pistols from like a football field away. You can't possibly beat that.
Games like that and the success of the virtual console and XBLA are still a bright spot for the industry. There are gamers out there who still value gameplay over everything else.
N64 = Best system EVAR!!DarkSnipage
agreed. My friends and I were playing Golden Eye yesterday. There is no logical reason for why that game is still fun, but we had a blast.
I still have really great memories of playing San Francisco Rush, my favourite N64 game along with Wave Race and Mace - The dark age.
The N64 is an amazing console, I don't really play it that much anymore though, because its not plugged in, but its one of my highest rated consoles ever.
I'm playing Majora's Mask now, on the Wii (GameCube Bonus Disc). I may play LOD OoT Master Quest as well at some point (also bonus Disc).
The memorys I have with that console.
