Sony shot themselves in the foot by releasing a $600 console with very few games. Nintendo and Microsoft did up the ante with their machines, but Sony did a lot to hurt their brand.
you have to give the other 2 credit though. Sony did a lot wrong but if their competitors werent as smart as they were they wouldnt have owned sony so badly
i dont get sony . they had it down the last to gens they simply had the best market plan . but all the sudden sony changes there ways . i guess they never heard " if its not broken dont fix it" sony alway did well with the weaker system now why did they think they need a massive power house? power never wins gen
Sony hurt the PS3 the most with having Blu-ray standard it should have been an add-on. The x360 has made it clear that Blu-ray/HD-DVD to not needed for gaming. So if Blu-ray was an add-on the price of the PS3 would have been the same as the X360 plus they would have launch Spring of 06(if not sooner)when the x360 didn't have that many games
