Who is all buying a PS3 next year?

I know I am :D I will be buying the 40gig $400 PS3. Ya I know it doesnt have PS2 compatilibily but oh well it's not a big deal to me. There is ALOT of games coming to the PS3 both exclusives and multiplats and I know for sure I am not going to be able to afford them all let alone have the time to play them all. Home looks cool as hell as wellI can't wait to use it.

Now for the features of the PS3 wow where do I even start, There is alot but the main things that really grab my attention is the Blu-Ray drive, Linux OS, Wifi, Playstation Network and the SIXAXIS controller even though I know alot of you call it a gimmick or whatever but I actually like it.

But ya so how many of you plan on buying a PS3 next year?

If the price comes down still another 100 bucks I might start to consider it. But the Wii and 360 honestly have more games that I'd want to play.

Make it cheaper (even with the price cuts it's still too high) and put out more compelling games and I might bite...

$400 is pretty damn cheap for what you are getting with the PS3.

From my point of view, the PS3 has hit a price range that falls appropriately into the console gamer demographic. XBOX360 owners can no longer call the PS3 an overpriced system when it is pre-equipped with more features than the now "more pricey per hardware component" XBOX360 Elite and Halo editions. I don't really care about what Wii owners have to say, since their games are quite different from what the Microsoft and Sony companies offer, in general.

I'll wait until April / May and see where the competition is. PS3 is holding me back due to the lack of a decent games library (which is changing now) and the XBOX360s are holding back my paycheck due to the infamous RROD(which should be resolved, I hope, in the next 4-6 months).

Until then, I'll happily stick to my good old PS2, enjoy my DS, and enjoy my PC.

I'd prefer the 360 price lower too. The difference though, is the 360 has more games that are worth playing, so the price is easier to justify. Right now, I'd struggle to think of 5 games that I truly would want to own for the PS3, so it would have to be cheaper and/or put out more quality titles to snag my interest, like I said.

399 is not a fair price for the 360.. It should be 299 at the mostfor a premium system..

I wont have time for the ps3 next year. maybe 2009 if the blu ray wins and gets a 200 pricetag... or some games I really want... I just dont know what games will make me want a ps3. MGS4 FF Tekken arentmy kind of games but GT5looks intresting...Thats one racinggame and racing gamesdont makeme wannabuy a console... lol I think Im acting like a cow... oow atleast I got my 360 to wait one...

Edit: OK I forgotUncharted... The game isnt looking bad too.. shame for the multiplayer part.

honestly for what it has in it you're freaking lucky to get such a good deal.

and with the games out next year it's like getting 50 million free pies.

I already own one (launch) and couldn't be happier. It's a great, reliable system with, what I feel, are wonderful games. Plus... can't beat playing with friends online for free :D0rin
