My router's ports are full, so therefore I don't have space to plug in the 360 until I get another router. Therefore I'll be getting the PS3 version to test out the online. Also, I do want to build up my PS3 library more.

Hey...if people keep making the same weaksauce threads, then the response fits. I honestly don't mean to put anyone down because I honestly don't get why people are hyping this game so much. I thought the first one was terrible and the second one doesn't look any better. And the only "scares" it promises is the immature "scares" of having lots of blood and violence and the equivalent of cats jumping out of closets.

Maybe I'm wrong and this game will be great. If that is the case I will be the first to give it a shot and admit my wrongness. But this all just sounds like people who have never seen a really good horror movie hyping up how scary hostel 2 or Saw 4 are.

lower actually, we covered this in an earlier thread - and nearly all of the reviews i've watched / read criticize the hokey approach for this one - and the combat system / enemy AI. apparently AI doesn't deviate from their paths AT ALL, so if you hide in a corner they'll just keep running the same circles.

i'll rent it. but i'm not expecting it to be nearly as engrossing as the first one.

they're really not if you consider that the 360 version of criminal origins is based on 167 reviews. and imo a sequel should ideally improve upon the formula, not shoot for the status quo. and if you look at the actual reviews there are far more publications / sites giving the sequel ratings inferior to the original - that combined with the stupid plot this time and cheesy less realistic mobs is why i'm renting this one first ;)

More reviews doesn't mean hardly anything, because most of the reviews will most likely be around the same score, then a few will be much lower or higher just for the reviewers who want to prove how different they are. When all is said and done, Bloodshot and Criminal Origins will be pretty much equal in scores, much like they are now.

He's referring to the giant robots and shoutheadexploding nonsense. It seems like it's suffering a bit from Fahrenheitis. Which is a shame. Like he says it's the sense of "realism" that makes the whole thing work. When you throw in robots n **** it just becomes stupid as all hell. I don't know why they had to go ahead and do that.

this is exactly what im talking about - a good analogy is like moving from a haunted house to a funhouse. both are scary, one is wacky. i'd rather have scary personally.

From what I understand, those scary moments are still in the game, but it also has wacky Sandra Cohen-like moments.

yeah this sucks. but oh well one week doesnt hurt. and regarding your sig you should check out the new Winds Of Plague cd its 1,000,000,000,000 times better then the SS cd. i liked it but i found it to get boring after the first few songs. the new Winds Of Plague cd is epic.

Well, it's basically what I've mentioned in my other reply. Don't know why I spoilered it really. I guess it is a spoiler technically, but I don't really view it as such. I think it's something people should be aware of going into the game so they're not horribly disappointed.
