Who is not a HD Player yet?

Seriously who here does not play a next gen( ps3,360 only) console on a HD TV yet ?

My mom took away my hdmi cable( because i was playin too much cod4) but i found my old cables (red,yellow and white)

but it looks horrible i cant believe i used to play in normal tvs before :( i even hook it to my SDTV but still is to ugly :(

I play on a HDTV, but I have no problems whatsoever to go back to SDTV. I play a lot of FFVII atm and I don't mind the graphics at all.

I guess it's just graphicswhoreism.

i still play mine on a 37 inch sdtv....not getting hdtv anytime soon as its just the same just the game looks a little better w00p de d00 :|beerm_basic

no no those arent componets cables, its just the normal cables that comes with the machine (ps3) just like the ps2 cables

I'm playing Wii, Played 360, and will Play PS3 on an SDtv atleast until we are forced to get rid of Tvs with a CRT in Febuary of 2009.Nintendo_Ownes7

Actually it looks a lot better, but I completely understand why some people don't have HD tvs.

It looks a lot better, well it might depend on which system you are playing on, in my case my PLAYSTATION 3 looks awesome ¬¬

My SDTV is still pretty good anyway, quality wise compared to other TV's. But still, 480i and I'm not complaining.

Its a huge difference in quality from HD to SD, and I couldn't go back to playing on a SDTV. And anyone who doesn't have an HDTV, what are you waiting for? Its cheap and your missing out by not having one.

not its not. Its half done crap. True/Full HD...thats 1080p costs a bomb. anything lower is cheap but half assed HD. And PC gaming has been past HD for ages.

it depends. there is a Cnet article about that, they said you cant tell the difference between a 1080p and 720p if the TV is under 40 inches. so if youre buying a tv for your bedroom, i wouldnt think you would need anything bigger than a 32" (like mine)

FullHD is a marketing scam.

Unless you're sitting about 6 feet from a 58+ inch LCD...odds are you'll never see the difference between 720p and 1080p.

Also, there are 46-52" 1080p sets priced around $1500 now....

Of course, there are high-end sets but what you're paying for there is the jump in panel quality / color reproduction / black level.

I went from a 46" 720p Samsung to a 52" 1080p Sony XBR4. Sitting 8 ft from the set, the resolution looks identical.

make sure you get the component cables, and also make sure that the 'sharpness' isnt turned up too high, try to have it under 50%. i had the sharpness on my HDTV set pretty high for the Wii, but it looks too jagged.

Wii looks better on an HDTV than SD. its a little sharper, widescreen is a plus, and the colors are more vibrant

Honestly I when I got my 360 the only TV I played on was my HD LCD TV. There were a few times where I played GRAW on my friends SDTV and I couldnt even make out what was on the screen when we were playing MP. My friend was like this game looks like crap and was like trust me this game looks way better on an HDTV. Sure there are some game that are only slightly different looking and then there are games that look loads better on an HDTV. Im currently playing on a 50 in. plasma at home and a 20inch LCD monitor at my dorm. Im never going back to SD. I dont even own an SDTV anymore. My house only has plasmas or LCD tvs.

Count yourself lucky that your mom is too dumb to take the entire console away from you instead of just the hdmi cable.

yeah i used to play on a 27" SDTV then when we bought out 1080p 61" Samsung it was like the red sea seperating and the path was shown....

HDTV is the only way to play games, I soon bought a 26" HDTV for my room and been gaming on it ever since...

I don't own a HDTV, but I do game at 1680x1050 on my gaming PC.General_X

Are you buying everyone HDTV's, you must still live with Mommy and Daddy and have no bills. I myself have bills and a car payment and I go buy "If it's not broke dont fix it" my 37" is fine right, it serves its purpose, I can still play Madden so I'm good.
