Who is winning untill now 360 or ps3?

To start , when i am comparing i am not using the so-called system wars logic , i will compare them as a normal gamer. And for those who are saying that the year is still at its start , that is true , but i am comparing untill now.

Ps3 games:

Heavy rain 8.5 (a 9 was expected for it, but it is still a revolutionary game )

WKC 6.5 ( this game was counted as an dissapointment)

MAG 8 (way better than expected)

GOD OF WAR III 9 , now some wanted a higher score , but 9 is still an amazing score.

360 games :

Mass effect 2 9 (also on pc , but not on ps3 , again no using System war logic)

Baynotta 9 while on ps3 it got an 8 .

2 AAAs on 360 and 1 AAAE and 2 AAE and one major flop.

Sales : 360 sold more than the ps3 , but still a long way to go...

so in conclusion the 360 still has a slightly better year , untill now

Also FFXIII Version scored the same on both platforms , a little tiny victory for the 360

Whats coming next?

Ps3 : ps3 Arc , Socom 4 ( i think it is coming in 2010 ) and GT5 (if it is coming in 2010:P) and Agent , plz don't start on the last guardian and those games, no casual gamer will care about them , a lot to be said at E3 .

360 : Natal ( which with a huge campaign will sell a lot) Halo Reach (said to be the best Halo game ) , Alan Wake , Fable 3 , Splinter cell , and A rumored Gears of war 3 , as epic said there will be some surprises at E3 , and a lot of natal games .

I think i missed a few Games , so feel free to add what ever you want/

360, simply because it has more A AA and AAA rated games on sites like GR and MC.

Personally I think the 360s library is stronger. Others will disagree and say the PS3s. But what it comes down to, hardware AND software sales, the gamers have spoken with their wallets. X360 is winning whether you like it or notshadow8585

Factually, the 360, but in terms of which one is the better console? I would have to say both. The 360 have the superior multiplats, while the ps3 have the superior exclusives

the fact that statistics show that gamers spend more on their 360 (mainly more games) than on their ps3 counterparts means a lot, also from what i see the 360 is more common in Europe Wings_008

Yea people do speak with their wallets, the ps3 has been outselling the 360 since it was launched, and has been pushing out more AAA exclusives on a more consistent basis then the 360 since 2008. Its only about to get worse people, the multiplatform software sales are pretty much even despite the 360 having a larger install base so this nonsense of "ps3 users dont buy their games" is ridiculous if any thing the the 360 users don't buy enough of their games besides gears and halo. With the ps3 leading in sales so far over the 360 this year it looks like another year in the bag for the ps3 and with the heavy exclusives coming out this year for the ps3 i will give the 360 5 more months of life until the ps3 surpasses it. Good day people.

The PS3. As of yet it has the better hardware and exclusive games since 2008. And LOL @ people who are using sales. With your logic a Mercedes < Ford. And we all know that's not true.

I think the 360 is ahead, but the PS3 is having a stellar year, and perhaps a better lineup coming. I believe the 360 is ahead, with the PS3 starting to catch up.

if we're not counting the PC's back catalog, then the PS3.

I don't have a PS3 myself, but judging by the fact that the last two GOTYs were PS3 games.

One thing that leaves me curious is to why they don't go multiplat. I mean, if it's game of the year, it would be logical to go for the most profitable choice.

I just went into a Gamestop and you know what I saw on their racks?

Hardly anything that I would call Shovelware.

Most of the Games that were on the shelf are actually what I would call Quality Games.

Then the PS3 and Wii and DS selves had easily spotted ShovelWare Games.

you can't use a game on both platform just because it scored 5 points higher it's still a multiplat on the ps3 and 360 so bayonetta doesn't count.

we didn't use Dragon Age Origins as ownage and that's also like PC using Mass effect 1 as ownage and calling it exclusive to PC because it's AAA on PC.

second Mass Effect 2 is on pc and 360 so it's multiplat and doesn't count you don't need a 360 to play it.

so far PS3 = 1 AAAE + 2 AAE

360 = 0

PS3 has the better year.

Sure Because people LOVE buying crapy game like i wen to the store the other day and ask for the worst game and BAM they gave me a 360 game i was so happy to buy a crapy game i told my friends and they all buy crapy games thats how 360 have better sells

That's fine you don't have to use "SW logic" but don't pretend your logic represents how the average gamer would see things. In the end the PS3 has the only exclusive AAA game so far so I would give it the nod. Everyone is doing well all around and the 360 has plenty of good games but if I had to look at what separates one system for the others the PS3 would win hands down. The 360s top scoring games this year are multiplats which are great to play but in no way would sway me or even the average gamer from buying another system. Do you honestly think someone would buy a 360 over a PS3 because of Bayonetta a game on both but scored ONLY .5 lower on the PS3 version? It's not broken and just as enjoyable as the 360 version. As for sales are you just going off of NPD. I though factoring in NPD and Japan, the only numbers we had, the PS3 was selling more so far. I could be wrong though? In the end IMO the PS3 once again justifies it's purchase to me. It has given me Heavy Rain, a high quality AA game, and GOWIII a high quality AAA game and the only way I could enjoy this is by owning a PS3. ME2, Bayonetta don't have that same ability.Javy03
