DiRT on PC = $39.99 on 360, PS3 = $59.99
Overlord on PC = $39.99 on 360, PS3 = $59.99
Come on people, you're acting like pc gamers need 10,000 dollar computers to play these games. Give me a break.

Your math implies that I even spend any money at all on my PC games :).
Oh how I love the copyright system in Canada...

When you factor in all the hardware of a PC, it gets pretty close. Did you factor in Windows Vista Ultimate? What about Quad-SLI 8800's? Don't forget the Phys-X card and the accelerated NIC! RAID is a must with 500GB drives. You'll need about 4 GB of RAM and a Quad Core CPU. Don't forget the Audigy Sound Blaster card (onboard audio is terrible!). All that hardware's pretty hot, so you'll need a water cooling system.
I also hear that games PC games will begin requiring holographic media in the next few months.

Windows Vista Ultra? 4GB RAM? I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or just dumb.

"Its like putting a bunch of copyrighted books in a room full of photocopiers"
And the average Canadian hasn't bought a single CD since.
Anyway back on topic: renting Dirt and Overlord from blockbuster=24 bucks including restocking fee for keeping them out a month. And once again the "PC games are cheaper" arguement fails.

I guess you missed that thread. A few weeks ago I was dumbfounded with this same argument. All of the hardware that I mentioned wasn't brought up, but a quad-core CPU was (The Cell has 8, surely Crysis will need at least 4!), Raid was, a Phys-X card was (advanced physic processing is standard in consoles), Vista Ultimate was, Dual-SLI was, as was (amazingly) the accelerated NIC (I was amazed these even existed).

I am a console gamer and a PC gamer 5% of my time. I do agree with this though. If I had the money to upgrade "upgrade enough to last 3 years or so"...I would...If I could get my PC games to work really well with a controller " they just arent as responsive on pc" and "you have to configure every button to hopefully work right"...
I have been a console gamer since the age of 9 back in 1980..I have 15 consoles and plan to stick with them as long as I can afford it and as long as they dont keep trying to get every penny I make....
That being said....I may get back to some pc gaming soon as the prices on games and parts have stayed nice and affordable.

Lord prevent you from pressing the auto-calibrate on a third party program for a controller for the PC. Joy2Key anyone? Parts and games are at their lowest they've ever been. If you can afford a next gen console, you can afford a gaming PC.[QUOTE="Arnalion"][QUOTE="mattbbpl"][QUOTE="Mudig"]DiRT on PC = $39.99 on 360, PS3 = $59.99

You spew crap everywhere you go? Crysis will need atleast 4? Physics card? You think EA only wants 4 people to buy Crysis? The Crysis's recommended requirements are simple enough for only a $900 pc.
