Oh so now Lemmings are allowed to post REPLAY shots to show how good the graphics look? There still jaggie, blurry and have a very rubbish lighting model.mrboo15In GTHD everthing BUT the cars looks like rubbish, don't get me wrong the cars look great but I have yet to play Forza 2 so I am in no position to comment on IT, but I HAVE played GTHD and can say without a doubt it does not look as good in motion as it does in screen shots. I do own an HDTV so I'm not missing out on the whole HD aspect of the presentation.
[QUOTE="Cedmln"]I just want to play it already. I thought it was coming out this month, but i guess not. I'm also tired of waiting for the stupid Halo 3 beta. I also can't play Gears of War for much longer...blurb1324I thought Forza was May? It's like the first week of may.. I have it reserved at GS...

GTHD environments are afterall....PS2's environments with HD resolution visuals and slightly bumped up polygons. the envoronments were built from scratch...the cars were.Â

I love the GT series but I feel that since GT2 the only innovation Polyphony Digital has brought are in the aspect of visual fidelity.Meh. The graphics still look pretty bad. Now instead of just being cartoony, they look like cheap CGI renders too. The cars still don't have as realistic sheen on them as the ones in GT do. This is more fact than opinion, so anyone who says anything otherwise is just being a fanboy.PikaPichuYou say the game looks BAD then state that this is more fact than opinion!? You sir are THE fanboy.

Threatens GT? I really hope you are joking.
i played GT:HD... i seriously hope GT5 does a better job at car simulation. GT:HD looked great, but the gameplay was truelly horrible. Bad sound, horrible physics, etc.. Forza 2 lookes much better in the simulation departement. watch the walktrough video on gamespot. it's really great.replay shots...................................:roll:daveg1
And that matters how? It's in game, and it's the same graphics that you see if you were racing.Â

As if cows haven't done the same thing for GT HD.
And this pic looks a lot better than what we've seen before. Little by little Forza is improving.

Because even though they are taken from replays, those relays are still being rendered in engine, which means that's exactly what the game will look like during gameplay as well.

that's not always true.. replay and inengine animations sometimes are better looking than the actual gameplay. That's because gameplay is interactive and requires much more power.... The Gears image shown by GermanShepard is in engine, but not gameplay. The gameplay looks good, but not this good.[QUOTE="The_Game21x"][QUOTE="GermanShepard06"][QUOTE="The_Game21x"][QUOTE="mrboo15"]Oh so now Lemmings are allowed to post REPLAY shots to show how good the graphics look? There still jaggie, blurry and have a very rubbish lighting model.danneswegman

In most cases, replays aren't significantly different from gameplay shots. But I get what you're saying and that is sometimes true, the most recent case I can think of being PGR 3.

Forza looks great but GT: HD has the slight edgeKrYpTiC_SnAke
Â
Yes, but GT doesn't come close to the phsyics and damage effects that Forza has which makes Forza more impressive overall.
[QUOTE="Khansoul"][QUOTE="AdobeArtist"]Only sonyfanboys who feel it threatens GT say Forza looks bad. That was easy enough to answer.Cubs360
Threatens GT? I really hope you are joking.
I said Forza is attacked by fanboys who FEEL it threatens GT, the threat being that GT no longer stands alone as the only realistic racing sim. They want to believe that the only one out there is on their platform and theirs alone. They just can't accept the fact that there IS a racing sim that plays just as well on a competing platform. Again I'm talking about those fanboys who are insecure and only feel it is a threat because they don't have the ONLY true racing sim anymore. I am not saying GT is going anywhere because of Forza.
In fact I will go on record to say that Forza is better than GT for the reason it does everything GT does, AND MORE.
* both games feature many models and brands of real car names
* both feature realistic driving physics (concerning how cars maneuver, turn, and slide on straights and corners at high speeds)
* both allow you to tune the engine and customize with real brand after market parts
* both lets you choose from a range of colors for the car
And here's where Forza leaves GT in the dust.
* Forza features damage modelling adding to the racing and physics realism, not in GT
* Forza lets you customize the body of the car as well as the engine - front and rear fender ****, door trims, hood options, spoiler options, etc... not in GT
* With Forza not only is there color options for the body, there is a wide array of designing options to make your car a work of art, different striping patterns and decals that you can combine in any numer of ways. This in addition to the body customization allows you to truly tailor a signature look to your car that is uniquely your own, where your car stands out from the rest on the track. Again not in GT
I would have brought up online play but with PSN I'm sure GT5 will have that finally.

thank you for taking the time and creating a constructive post, i agree 100% with your points so what if Gt is slighyl more slicker, forza has great damage and it allows you to personalise your car, also a major factor for me - online play (allthough GT5 will have this, i presume)
