I do for one, there is only so much of this game that is appealing until it just becomesrepetitiveand old. I think the series should quit while it's ahead. Unless Guitar Hero 4 has some huge change in its gameplay I can only see this game becoming less popular like the DDR series.
guitar Hero is still tons of fun. I bustd out I, II, and III last night with the GF for the first time in months. The problem is, compared to the other two III is bush league. They will really have to amp it up for IV to get my money.

their fun games and all i gots 1-3 but 3 in ways has kinda died it needs that great fun feeling like 1 and 2 had now im more with Rockband because i hardly can play most songs on expert now rockband makes you suck at GH just cuz of the slow paced and stuff idk GH4 better be amazing because as of now im just buying songs for rockband and kinda waitng for a patch to sinc my GH3 guitar and make it work with rockband (which will probily never happen)

GH3 guitar does work with rockband, Thats how me and my friends play it all the time(the only way I've played it)
It had novelty but then in GH2 it showed us that it can be an extremely fun and challenging rhythm game that has pretty deep gameplay for such a simple idea.

harmonix made a patch the first week or two of rock band's release to make the ps3 gh3 guitar work - activision sued to keep sony from releasing the patch, and demands licensing money from harmonix to 'allow' the patch for rock band. it's already been written and out there since december, harmonix just isn't allowed to apply the patch.

Eh, somewhat. Guitar Hero 3 wasn't as great as the first two and now with stuff like Rocks the 80s and Aerosmith I think the franchise might be getting stale. Rock Band still has great potential to bring something new to the genre.
