Who Will Win E3?

I dont think it will be Sony, their rumor mill hasnt been churning nearly enough and I cant see a whole lot they'll do aside from game announcements and PSN updates. A couple sources have made it clear that we should expect a monster E3 for MS and Nintendo may be taking the hardcore approach this time around. Whose it gonna be? Why? I think in terms of the average GS forum user, looking back X360 is gonna have made the biggest splash with Nintendo close behind.

The way Sony have been with their game announcements, i'm gonna give it to them. I can't see a company rolling out all it's game announcements, just to have a bare E3.

Sony is already winning this year, so they don't need to make a big splash at E3. However, you might expect PS3 Slim and/or PSP Go! announcements.

Microsoft is the one who needs to really deliver, and I'm pretty confident that they will. Alan Wake, Forza 3, Splinter Cell, the Rare games, and ODST should be enough to win the day for them, and I suspect they still have an ace in the hole.

Nintendo is the wild card. Either they announce some awesome games (unlikely) or they just talk about sales and show some casual crap (likely). If they do show some awesome games, they could beat Sony.

I think he's referring to the SKU that RROD at E3.

If Microsoft announces all that has been rumored thus far, I'm fairly sure they'll have the best and most impressive show of the 3. This is mostly due to Micrsoft getting yet another major PS3 title after Sony and Kojima (with a horde of fanboys alike) spending years claiming it would never come to the 360. Last year they nabbed Final Fantasy XIII and I think this year they are looking to do the same as well.

Sony could make a splash but I can't think of much in their corner that would really catch anyone off guard the way Microsoft has and could possibly do again this year. They have a number of good games to show off but its nothing that is really new, I'm sure we'll see a PSP redesign that will attempt to rival the DSi and probably some spinning about how their sales figures are a positive. Overall though, I just don't see Sony dropping a bomb on us.

Nintendo could go either way, they still haven't had to drop the price of the Wii and their software is still selling like mad (just look at April's NPD numbers). However last year was supposed to be the end of Miyamoto's conquest of the casual gamer after Wii Music was launched and they could catch us all off guard by giving us a look at the new Mario game which is rumored to be open world, the new true Wii Zelda, Pikmin 3, another Metroid, or even Star Fox plus they also have a number of third party games coming up that will be very impressive I think.

So as it stands right now to me I'm rating them in the following order of who's show will impress me most and who will fail to deliver.

1.) Microsoft

2.) Nintendo

3.) Sony

i really hope so about nintendo i hope they forget casual and go totally hardcorelike they did in the early N64 days

If it's not Microsoft then I'll probably buy a PS3. We really need some killer apps this year.

it would be a tight fight between sony and nintendo if they out the giant enemy crab agenst ravi.

i would say sony would win with genji 3 and 2 giant enemy crabs, twice as fast real time weapon change. and battles that actully took place in anicent japan

Something tells me that Nintendo will have a big surprise on us this year. They surely have to redeem their names, the signatures from last E3 had just started fading away.

I don't actually expect much from Sony at this point. Last year's presentation of their "sales charts" using LBP was pretty cool though, you had to admit. I hope they have something creative this year like they did last year.

Microsoft is looking mighty suspicious, they haven't had any announcements for quite a while. Infact, since the last E3, I haven't heard much from them. Then again, they did make a big splash at the last E3.

Overall though, I say that Nintendo will probably knock our socks off the most this year.

Whoever has the most votes have the most hype. But to answer the question I will win E3 because theres so many games I'm looking forward to.
