Who Won E3 08?

Was it Microsoft with the showing of Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, RE5, Banjo Kazooie, Netflix teaming up with Xbox Live, the plethora of improvements we will see with the fall update, the price drop and the big FF13 announcement?

Was it Nintendo with the showing of Snowboarding, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Wii Motion+, GTA Chinatown Wars on DS, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Music?

Was it Sony with the showing of Killzone 2, Socom, Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, God of War 3, GT5, the price drop, trophies, Home and new psp titles?

I going to say Sony...Well all three had some good information. Sony just gave it to us better and had the most new information.

I was upset it seems they have dropped the Playstation phone.

I would say a tie between Microsoft and Sony. Nintendo was just embarrasing to be honest.

I say a tie because microsoft definitly had the best 'oh snap' moment with FF13, and the Gears 2 trailer was pretty damn awesome. However Sony boasted some very strong games, i really liked the look of MAG and other titles. The Leviathan in Resistance was awesome and i liked the overall presentation, especially with jack tretton, over that of MS. So... it's a tie. If it wasn't for FF13, defo go to Sony though.

I would rank them 1) X360 2) PS3 3) Wii. In my opinion Microsoft gave us the biggest variety of games (good ones at that) and features (good ones at that). I usually dont care about casual stuff but the stuff theyre using to attract casuals also attracts current system owners and hardcore gamers

EDIT: And did you say you could use FF11 if cows used PS3/PC (which they're not anyway)? FF11 is a PS2 title also. I remember playing it. It was a full gen before where people got to play it :lol:

Am I the only person that owns a 360 that could care less that the dashboard was revamped. I play games on my 360 and nothing else. I could care less how it dashboard looks. On all three of my systems the only system I have used to do anything but play games is the Wii. Which I use from time to time to check the weather and my son uses the everyone votes channel.

Both M$ and Sony did good, however, M$ showed only multiplates, while Sony showed new IP's.

I think they all were terrible and MS was disgusting for canceling their planed announcment for Bungie.

Oh and they didnt even show Halo Wars on GS like was planned... No it wasnt GS's fault.... Bungie and MS just didnt show up or canceled

The 360 won with the addition of Netflix and FFXIII.

I don't even own a 360 and even I have to admit this. I am a Netflix user and FFXIII was one of the reasons I bought a PS3. Of course, I still think the PS3 version will be superior with Blue-ray and the still-PS3-exclusive Versus version, but the Netflix & XBOX 360 combo really won me over. I might end up buying one when they release more reliable hardware.

I found it interesting that MS declared that they are going to outsell the PS3 this gen and that they've made over a billion dollars off of xlive users. Was it fun hearing them brag about their earnings? They're 5.5 million ahead and we've got years to go and they're claiming that. Would be funny if in the long run PS3 outsold it and we could replay that after it does.

obviously ms won if you dont think so then your either a fan boy or you never watched the press conferencess. MS had something for everyone hardcore and cassual gamers plus new xbox dashboard (netflix). They had the biggest announcement of all the press conferencess ffxiii, the biggest game (Gears 2), the biggest change (xbl) what did sony have they never even showed killzone 2 all they had was resistence 2 their main focus was the online store (trying to compete with xbl) and wii had snowboarding (thats all).

U are a d-bag wii did nothing but talk about ds sales figures and how wii will over come them and btw sony only showed their online store. The only exclusive for ps3 for the hardcore they demo'd was resistance (MAG is for pc 2 and gow 3 was a trailer)

They had better lineup of games and they the show games to look forward to in the future like God of War and MAG. Unlike M$ they only showed two good exclusive games and stole a game form sony.

You can argue til youre blue in the face about whose games are better but microsoft is doing more for X360 than Sony is for PS3 in my opinion
