Who's excited for Fable 3?

I wasn't.

But after seeing the Gamespot preview live yesterday, it looked like it's going to be an awesome game.

Really like the idea of how everything in the game levels up (weapons, you, etc.) and the new 3D GUI which seems much quicker than Fable 2's menu.

The fact that there's the Fable like story where you save people to begin with, then spend half the game ruling them is also really unique I think - definitely on my 'to watch' list.

Fable 1 was amazing and Fable 2 was a disappointment so Fable 3 is on my "eh maybe" list at the moment till I see the final product.

Fable 2 had some good ideas but stanked hard.

fable 2 was awesome imo. loved it. so can't wait for the 3rd

Liked the first a little more then the second and I'm thinking the third times the charm - me hyped for it and thinking AAA.

The Fable franchise gets a ton of hate but i've thoroughly enjoyed Fable 1 and 2 and will pick up Fable 3 day 1 aswell. Its a love it or hate it franchise and i happen to love it.

I loved Fable but was never interested in Fable 2 because of the setting, even though both my brother & cousin said it was great. After watching the videos & interviews for Fable 3, I'm rebuying 2 & actually playing it. I love the sound of Fable 3 & the whole revolution theme. I guess I'll have to forget about the days of my armoured giant swinging a great sword & go for a revolutionary swashbuckler/roguish type character. Is the dog still compulsory though?

I definitely am. It looks much better than II, in my opinion. The morphing weapons system that cause weapons to change appearance and upgrade according to your actions is interesting. The prospect of becoming king and ruling your own kingdom at the mid-point of the game is quite appealing as well. As when you become king/ruler in most games, it is normally at the end.

No, Fable is hardly a deep RPG, but I still fell in love with the first one for it's fun factor. Fable II was a disappointment, but I am hoping some of the old magic can be recaptured here. I like where it is going.

I don't know. I really liked Fable II, but I get the feeling this'll suffer from moreofthesame-itis, despite of the additions made. I'm still planning on buying it though. Felt the same about ACII before that was released and ended up enjoying it a lot anyway.

Molyneux is talking a lot about the GUI which is good, because it was pretty bad in Fable II. But I don't know if these changes will be all for the better really. It's much quicker to press a bumper to switch to a different menu than it is to run your dude over to another room. Feels like they might've replaced one problem with another.

One addition I unquestionably like though is the Mass Effect-ness. Stuff like that is just cool. Although I don't expect ME2 levels of consequences to carry over from your save.

Same deal as Fable 2: I like the idea of it, but I'm not going to hold my breath when it comes to the execution side of things.

Also, that box art is turrible.

I enjoyed Fable 2 but they could definitely improve a lot. Relationships didn't mean anything and the story was lackluster. It was also extremely easy and magic was almost useless.Zero5000X
