Wasn't it a huge flop in terms of sales on the PC? But than again, Opposing Fronts, TF2, Quake Wars...lots of alternatives on the PC multiplayer space.DaysAirlines
Yeah, there's hardly anyone ever playing it online. :(

there most likely will be on PS3 tho.
No Sony fanboys are. They all have high-end PC's, so they're getting the "superior PC version" ;)Yellow_Rose
This game's Gamespot benchmarks are insane.
Did you see them? An 8800 GTX with a dual core got 140 FPS at 1600x1200, max settings.
If I could only get that kind of performance out of a PS3!
Put simply, no wonder this game runs okay, it's been optimized to hell and back. It's not brilliant PS3 coding we're talking about here, it's all around spectacular game code from the looks of things. Remember the Crysis benchmarks?

I doubt it...its become more of a niche game than ever before...the games very intense speed puts off a lot of people.
hosetly, after you have played it for more than an hour, it only tires you out.
What happened to all the Cow's phantom monster-gaming PC's ?
Did they dissappear as suddenly as they appeared ?!
Cow's are so mysterious!
[QUOTE="-platy-"]cows better hope it sells wellBobHipJames
What the hell would that matter?
You got 891 posts here and you ask such an inane question?
cows better hope it sells well-platy-
We all know it wont, it probably wont even clear 300K units.
The PS3's software sales are so abysmal, I wonder why developers bother losing money on it.

Anyone else find it odd that UT3 is winning in Gamespot's Best of 2007 Preliminary?

Why would they hate shooter when they love Resistance, Killzone 2, Haze and SOCOM? I guess they just make fun of 360 for having a majority of shooters.

o wow  I figured something fishy was going on
why the hell would anyone play ut3, a fast paced shooter, on a goddamn ps3, i just dont get it?
its like a dolphin trying to fly an F22 with its flippers, it just doesnt work.
and the whole deal Mark Rein keeps bringing up: "you can build your map on PC and port them to ps3 yeeey"
...ok someone explain that logic to me...
if you can run the goddamn ut3 editor on your pc, enough to build cool maps, why the hell not play it on your pc????
anyway i tried the game on pc and its boring, its a carbon copy of ut2k4 with some character customization
I think its gonna sell well, but I don't really care if it doesn't. Sales areSony's problem, not mine - aslong as I still get the games, I don't care- I'll still be enjoying it.

if you were hear last gen you would know why cows hyping FPS's is funny. right when killzone was announced cows suddenly had an interest in the genre

and uses a controller....thats still gonna suck.
Seeing how it is a predominately multiplayer franchise I would be concerned over how many people buy it.I think its gonna sell well, but I don't really care if it doesn't. Sales areSony's problem, not mine - aslong as I still get the games, I don't care- I'll still be enjoying it.

I was here last gen, and I do agree with you, but tides awlays change. Everyone can flip their script. Look at sheep and the online situation. ALso look at Lems with Blue Dragon and LO - JRPG's that they hated during the original XBOX days.

UT is the only multiplayer game that I like playing with Bots....I actually even opt to play with bots sometimes when I dont feel like playing in a very intese game...
the bots are really smart too.

Fair enough, Epic really takes a lot of pride in how much work they put into making the bots.[QUOTE="cobrax75"][QUOTE="DaysAirlines"][QUOTE="spence1988"]Seeing how it is a predominately multiplayer franchise I would be concerned over how many people buy it.I think its gonna sell well, but I don't really care if it doesn't. Fair enough, Epic really takes a lot of pride in how much work they put into making the bots.apparently a lot of people play with Bots too...since Epic found that only 30% of UT04 owners even played online.
