If they don't make MW3 i definately will not be buying that game, look how Activision is treating them after the amount of money they have earnt from IW (which created the whole franchise). This new sledgehammer studio's a joke and just want to profit from what IW started (just like treyarch)

The thing is, the execs at IW didn't have to sell their company to Activision.Financial security comes at a cost and they didn't like the corporate structure. Don't worry though they will start a new studio and have the creative freedom they claim towant.

Infinity Ward is dead...At least the Pre-Activision infinity Ward.

To be honest though (Post-Acti) they make good games but they just don't stand by their product(s).

World at War did a lot of things better than MW2. Better lobby and leaderboard system. 3rd person tanks. Gore/dismemberment. Party chat. Double XP weekends. More than 1 map pack. IW did some good things too..but I won't shed a tear if IW doesn't do the next they are in line to make.

thats questionable that they do because all their idea's came from IW they pretty much just copy and paste everything and put it in a different setting

Infinity Ward only made one game and that's Call of Duty.

I hardly ever had Loyalty to them.

I'll buy another IW game when they find another publisher. They are very good devs, but Acti is really suppressing their talents.

Grant Collier is the head of Infinity Ward before Robert Bowling took over. Before the release of Modern Warfare 2, the Call of Duty series was balanced for the following:

-Leaning
-Dedicated Servers
-Mods
-Clans
-PC gaming

I would say they have potential but they are owned by Activision. I really wish they had the creative freedom to take as long as they want with a game to really make it good, but they don't. A lot of the complaints I have against Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 probably could have been fixed if they had more time to work on the games.

True, but they also see potential in PC gaming. Let's just hope they don't copy IW's ideas that made the PC community hate MW2.

Some sources indicate Activision were being jerks, some say it might've been the IW heads doing naughty things. Most likely all sources are probably correct. But regardless, both companies are smegheads in my eyes. IW for giving the PC community the finger and Activision for giving everyone the finger. I have no alignment in this matter.

The future of Call of Duty is certainly looking incredibly terrible. Not due to any fault of Sledgehammer, I'm sure they're talented people, (although if they'll be able to reach the standards of IW is uncertain) but Activision is running that **** into the ground so fast I don't know if they'll have time to fleece you with their subscriptions and micropayments before it crashes and burns and everyone dies.

I won't be buying any future installments in the series'.

They made MoH, and through CoD and CoD 2 nearly perfected the WW2 shooter. I would love me some new (aka not a rehash) game from IW.

About that, I sometimes wonder if reviewers purposely score Treyarch's CoD lower because they developed it and not IW. I just think the score would be higher had they been told IW made it instead.

All I know is that I enjoyed MW2 quite a bit more than WaW. MW1 its close... but I do prefer MW2 (though admittedly it just had to build off of MW1's success). I hope they get the credit they deserve for making such a massively popular game.

If someone is to take over Call of Duty, they should do a remake of Modern Warfare 2 known as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: PC Gaming Edition.

i agree wth some of these post's but i reckon Call of Duty the franchise is nothing without IW and i point the blame to Activision which have realised it makes ALOT of money so are milking it like they did gutair hero and look how poorly that game is doing now... And any bets this new CoD game will be a ghost recon rip off, heard it here first.

Whats the point, it seems like Activision are busy eating their devs from the inside out.

I don't know why employees would want to stay at infinity ward, destined to spend the rest of their lives making CoD games under the tedious decision making of Activision.

CaptainHarley

It is not very smart not having loyalty to a brand that u enjoy? That has proven worthy to you in the past? Cars for example, i would prefer a BMW over a Lexus any day because company's strive to better themselves to keep your loyalty to their products which you see when you compare the sales of the two cars. Activision does not seem to care about their customers which will be their gradual downfall. Brand power's a very powerful thing that you seem obnoxious about

while i do have my problems with infinity ward cod's what activisionis doing to them is absolutely ridiculous. i really hope they can take cod franchise and make another studio or just start another franchise. hopefully this time they can go to a developer that allows them more creative freedom. I kinda hope they go to sony(which won't happen i know) cause sony by far is the best at managing their studios. They're willing to try new things with even unproven developers. if it wasn't for them games like LBP, heavy rain, and last guardian wouldn't be coming out. Infinity ward would have the freedom to everything they wanted
