If the VC allows me to download games that are impossible to find legally, then I will do it.foxhound_foxEven if you can get it on the VC for a fraction of the cost, it's worth it.
And it upscales N64 games. As well as allowing all of the games to be played on a progressive scan tv with a minimum of lag.
Downloading ROMs is illegal. You are allowed to make your own ROM's but you need the original cart for that, and finding the original cart for some games is nearly impossible. If the VC allows me to download games that are impossible to find legally, then I will buy them.foxhound_fox
as a gamer of the past 20 years I have most of those carts in mint condition and I just transfer them to roms on my Laptop.
and I play them with a 360 controller wireless.

You're not supposed to promote ROMs, Emulators(technically, there's nothing illegal about emulators but they usually lead to talk about illegal stuff), etc especially here of all places.

Wiimote for me... Feels much better than the old Sega Genesis and the NES brick controller...
Because using emulators is stealing, unless you own the system and game and you lost the game.Stabby2486
I mean emulators have been around for years! Im not promotig them or anything, it's just why is the VC being used by people as a selling point for the Wii when all it is, is basically an emulator?catlin_czirr
Yeah, the VC is really not a selling point for me. Brawl (if it has online), Galaxy, and maybe MP3 are what I'm interested in a Wii for. Emulators make the Nintendo VC useless to me, especially when you have save state features on them (not sure if Nintendo VC has this, someone correct me if I'm wrong).
I do like some games onXBLA though, and will pay money for them because they have extra features (like online multiplayer for the TMNT Arcade Game, even though it was laggy as hell last time I tried it).

It's only if you MAKE your own from a game you own that it is not illegal. No one understands that.
100% correct.

I own Alttp on GBA and a GBA, so if I used a emulator then got a ROM Hack would it be illegal?

That sucks, I was thinking about playing a Alttp mod.

Wait... it's legal if you already had the game?
Only if you make it yourself. So you actually have to have the game to make the ROM. If you then lose it (the original), I would imagine it would still be legal? That's further than my knowledge goes. Please Log In to post.
