You realized you just killed your "building a PC is easy" argument with that twisted mess of bargain hunting, right? Plus I love how cheap PCs get to recycle old peices of hardware to fit the price.
Build PC: find a million special deals on parts, wait for them to ship, hope that there are no shipping problems. Once parts install, spend time putting everything together, installing OS, install patches, install game, install peripherials, etc.
Console: Go to store, place cash on counter and say "Xbox 360 please". Purchase, bring home, unbox, plug in power, plug in 3 color-coded wires, press eject, insert disc, play game.
Why do people still wonder why consoles are popular again? News flash: most people aren't PC oriented. You say building a PC is easy. I observe that the average person is scared %&@#less to open a PC and mess with parts or try to figure out how they work.
So your arugument is that it's too hard? I don't know, maybe its just me but if im going to spend 400+ on anything I would rather have something I know is the best or damn near close to it.
When you buy a hiome you do research and bargin hunt. Same with a car, or anything else for that matter. What makes gaming any different?
In the world we live in where information is everywhere, there is no reason to be afraid of opening up your PC. Damn near impossible to break the damn thing, and i've done some pretty messed up things to my pc.
