[QUOTE="Chutebox"][QUOTE="DarthKalo"]All 360 games are 720p native.They used a lower resolution on H3 for better lighting effects NOTbecause the 360 couldn't do it.DarthKalo
Um, if 360 could do it then what's the point of cutting it out?
Um, better lighting effects!do you really beleive that bungie bs?
anyway the native resolution on the 360 is 720 p as it is with the ps3 (unless you beleive that sony 1080p hype)
however the 360 has a chip interface that allows scalling of resolution. therefor not all games have to be made in a set resolution. allowing for greater development freedom. all in all i dont care. games look good for all three system to me. that is right i said it "all THREE systems" regaurdless of resolution output have some stunning looking games. resistance, oblivion, metriod prime 3, gears of war, call off duty 3 and 4 have all been amaxing looking along with many others. i really dont givea rats (beep) about what resolution they are in. unless they are on my pc. then it matters to me.. because i am a graphics whore when it comes to pc but a gameplay whore when it comes to consoles.
(unless you beleive that sony 1080p hype)
frankeyser
You mean the 1080p, 120fps, dual-TV, dual HDMI hype?
Some 360 games upscale to 720P and there is a lot more compression used on a DVD9 then there is on a Bluray disc. Uncompressed looks crisper and usually (not necessarily in all games) better than compressed. ie blu ray and hd-dvd movies look better than upscaled dvd movies.rockydog1111
logic FTW

1) You can have lossless compression and most compression is barely if at all noticable.
2) HD-DVD and Blu-Ray look better because they have a higher native resolution than DVD's. It has nothing to do with compression.
I think you are mistaking compression with lower resolution - not the same thing
