As of late I have been seeing alot of hype surrounding Natal and how it's going to revolutionize gaming but what about the PS eye? It's essentially the same thing as Natal from what I have seen but it's not getting any love from the devs. It looks like Natal is going to have alot of support and I just want to know whats going on. Discuss ....

I think Natal is going to be bundled with the system while PS eye is sold as a separate peripheral.

I remember the PS I worked with this one game I really wanted to try out it was a card battling game. The problem is i didnt want to buy the eye just for that game. I think it will be the same with Natal people will not want to buy it for one or two games. Unless they come up with somthing ****ing amazing.

Well I think they are bundling it with the system... so I assume it's going to have tons of games.

Yeah but Natal hasn't even been out yet and it's getting all this support and the PS eye has been out for two years and hasn't really had anything worthwile but I hope this changes when Sony releases their motion controls.

It doesnt make sense to me when 360 fanboys use Natal against the PS3 when we have had a similar device for a little under 2 years.

What do you mean, "all this support". The only people I have heard outspokenly supporting Natal is MS with Rare. Aside from that I think 3rd parties are playing the wait and see game. I am sure with Natal getting attention, Sony will start supporting PSEye more and that's what dev's need to see before they dump money into that. In the end it doesnt matter much. Look at the Wii, a popular selling system with a large userbase and it still gets little support. Mainly because gaming has evolved with controls getting more and more complex. These motion games have to be simple to work and devs have franchises built around the standard control and don't wanna invest money to build deep franchises for motion yet.

Great, those are the same publishers "supporting" the Wii. Until I see what games Natal will have I don't see it getting that much more serious support. You have to realize that it's still a peripheral that is sold separately for most of the 360's current fanbase. Being bundled in consoles later on won't help the current 30 MILLION 360 owners that will have to buy it separately. And because a Natal game can't depend on the ENTIRE 360 fanbase, I highly doubt it will get any serious support aside from DLC and Wii type shovelware. I mean the Wii doesn't even get serious support for the most part and its the top seller.

The technology powering the PS eye is outdated compared to NATAL, there is just no comparison.

^:roll:Wow really im amazed by your statement. There is a thread on here telling you what games will be suported by the wand when it comes out. So the ps eye is not getting ignored.

Eye of judgement is the card game, and Eyepet(comes out in Nov.)

I know that the PS eye will get some games for it when the wand comes out but so far all the games the PS eye has are Eye of judgement, Eyepet(coming soon), and some minigames on the PS store. We have not seen any real killer apps for the device yet but Natal doesn't look to have one either but I want to see the devs support the PS eye so it could at lest have some decent games to get me to pick it up because even the things that I saw them showing at TGS like the LBP pointer thing and RE5 aiming didnt wow me.

Because the adult industry hasn't gotten involved. Once the porn games come out, it'll sell like crazy. Get on it!!!!

same reason why devs ignored the virtual boy....it's just not very good and has very low chance of making a profit.

Isn't it hilarious how Sony fanboys on forums always say "Natal = PS Eye!" yet everyone who has had a chance to use Natal says it's amazing. These are the same people who use all these other stupid motion sensing periphirals. Obviously Natal is different and better since everyone who has actually used it has said it's great.

Using and watching are two different things.
