Why are people saying the PS3 is dying?

Why so many threads about the PS3 dying? Now that the PS3 has some really good looking games, people seem to be changing their minds:

2007 - "PS3 has NO GAMES! It's Dying!!

2008 - "PS3 has games now, but the sales suck!! It's dying!"

2009 - :question: We don't know

It seems that every year, someone comes up with something to bash the PS3 into oblivion, but yet, somehow, the PS3 gets through it.

So, my question is, why do you think the PS3 is dying? Also, if you want your argument to be taken with some weight, post a link to your findings. I got a feeling there won't be many links, just utterly fanboyish opinions that carry no weight whatsoever.

First off, do you mean...guys in your everyday walk of life say that often? Or are you talking about gamespot? I dont hear guys saying that everyday....some of my gamer friends that dont care about game sites, forums, or the usual media stuff. They dont speak of the PS3 as if its dying. I dont think its dying. I believe that Sony has a plan and they are sticking to it. I dont believe that they are trying their BEST to sway the opinions of the PS3....they are thinking 10 year pace. I think they are doing well, and I also believe they will be a beast down the line. Home, while I dont like it now...I think in around 3 years...its going to be BOSS.

Now by saying that, I dont think that Microsoft will just stand by and let the 360 just collect dust while Sony builds on their great hardware. I just think that its popular to say. Only thing I see that can be one reason someone would say that the PS3 is dying? How slow they are moving to close the gap on stuff like XBL, XBLA, Wii sales, being in last place. I also dont understand why PS3 exclusives not named MGS4 dont seem to sell well. Why is that? IDK...I like MY PS3....I just prefer to play the 360 MORE.

But its recent struggle in sales despite putting out good games is why it is taking some heat.Grady420
