True, but SW is setup that the winner isn't based on our opinions. But a set of facts. Not really. All user votes here ended with the idea that there was no winner and that it was all opinions being debated.

Sales In what :| Wii sold the most hardware this gen. 360 sold the most software this gen. If we are talking about flagships Halo 3 is at 9 million hitting the 10 million mark with Mario Galaxy with PS3 only having 4.5 million with MGS4. Crysis is a flop in sales, so no one bothers to mention it.

Let's face it, Wii owners are playing on an inferior system that is selling more. And hardcore PC gamers quite frankly dont care about consoles so much. So in the end, that leaves PS360 fans to duke it out for second.
Wii won the war as it is defined by SW rules. PS2 was determined the winner of the war last gen and PS1 before that and SNES before that and they were recognized by SW standards as winning the war DUE TO SALES so Wii is no different.
Graphically PC wins easily, so it does seem kind of hypocritical when PS3 and 360 fans discuss such things and leave out PC and Wii.

You don't know anything yet you somehow find in yourself to comment on such things :| It's a known fact that 360 has had the highest attachment rate between PS3 and Wii COMBINED through past couple of years (I haven't checked recent thrends) And again, Crysis only sold 1.5 million copies in almost 2 YEARS which speaks volumes about the amount of these "Hardcore" gamers and brings up the question of how many of these people own all this "Super Computer" equipment.

Attachment rate only means how many games each console owner buys. There are alot more Wii owners out there than 360 owners. The attch rate could be lower on the Wii, but still have more overall sales. But like I said I don't know, and I don't know anyone who does. Crysis got downloaded like 5 million times. I guess PC gamers said why buy what you can get for free.

Thats the problem though, but you can't argue facts, you can argue how to use facts, like compare 360 and PS3 sales, theres an obvious winner, but then you can argue that one came out so much earlier then the other or whatnot, opinions can be flat out wrong, people hide behind opinions far too much, if you can't argue those, SW woulden't exist, everyone would just say PS3 is the best, 360 is the best, and then the conversation would go no where, so if Person #1 says Game X has better graphics then Game Y, you could argue that, based off either facts, or your own opinion, and the world goes round.

It's not possible to guess how many gaming PCs are out there. My guess is it's alot more than 50 million though. But again thats just a guess. Back when Microsoft expanded Xbox Live onto PC, they said theres 200 million PC gamers.

That all depends on how you translate the sales. What? I don't understand. Well do you con't Wii play and Wii sports. Do you count only exclusives. Do you count units sold, or the cash value collected. There are alot of different ways to go about it.
PS2 is last gen. I was wrong earlier so I guess the proper order would be:
1. PC
2. Wii
3. 360
4. PS3
But under that circumstance then PS2 didn't win last gen either.

PS2 is still available in retail and was still getting games until December 2008. Hell, I still play my PS2 more than any current gen platform (PC games released this console gen included).
