Why Are So Many Lems Saying Gameplay>>Graphics?

when have lemmings ever said graphics > gameplay, when they have had the highest number of quality games from the beginning? :|

In this case it is a shame lemmings are using after their rampage about how great the 360 game graphics are.

two reasons:

1. because the PS3 came out after the 360, its technology is newer, and therefore it has superior-looking games

2. it's true

guess i wasnt paying attention while i was writing, i meant "a lot" of the games suck, not all.

gameplay is of course more important, i hate to bring it up but i think lair proved that. i love retro games, and games like loco roco because they have such good gameplay, and they really dontneed amazing graphics. although im not saying graphics arent important, they of course are especially if your making a realistic games.

i think the problem arrises when a console that lacks power compared to its rivals, like the wii, trys to do "realistic" graphics, and ends up with with rather poor looking graphics, ruining the game a bit, but if they hadaimed forcartoony or non realistic graphics in the first place, it would have been, and looked great.

Well, Lair runs at the full 1080p resolution natively, that didn't save it from being a terrible game overall.

Hell, if anything, Halo 3 proves that gameplay is in fact more important than graphics because it scored a 9.5 while running at the 640p resolution because it had the awesome gameplay to back it up.

It's true that Microsoft consumers milk the gameplay>graphics kneejerk more than any console-goer out there, but their real problem so far hasn't been their dependency on one-liners so much as it is their tendency to let Gamespot think for them--Not to mention they resort to sales figures as a way of fending off criticism of their prized games.

They're obsessed with noteriety as opposed to the games themselves; they have to rely on reviewer opinion and consumerism to vindicate their positions.

WTF? i see ur fanboy posts always and they amuse me...the main arguments u hear from each group are

Lemmings: We have more games and better online

Sheep: teh innovation

Cows: teh potential and the GRAFIIIIIXXXXXXXXXX (and free online)

The only games lemmings brag about with graphics are gears and any multiplats that look better on the 360...we all know the 360 is less graphically superior so why would they hype graphics...Lems care more about gameplay then cows...proven by Lair and HS

Its always been that way,the whole 360 vs PS3 vs Wii vs PC/this gen didnt start the whole gameplay > graphics debate.It's been going on since around the PS1 era when all games had to go on is gameplay.
