Why are Square Enix producing so many games recently????????

It used to be that if you saw something from square enix you could pretty much guarntee it was going to be good... Id say the last good thing they've done was FFX- everything after that has been lame

ummmm i think the title to this thread was sensored .... anyways square enix =BAD GAMES

just cause 2 was great.

i guess the lesson is that if they produce a game it can still be good just don't let them be the developer.

That really is a good question and I think the answer lies in they do not know what to make. Instead of focusing on a few good games to make they are throwing every idea in the book out there to hope one thing or another works. Which in my opinion is stupid but I guess they are really that out of ideas.

They're still a quality developer/publisher. I'm not saying Square is on the same level as they were during their Golden Age, but saying every recent game they've made is "lame" is just ignorant.

Handhelds are another story actually SE is doing a great job on handhelds.

And Sqaure Enix has been doing good on Handhelds and will probably continue so (FF Agito XIII, The 3rd Birthday, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded are looking good). Consoles... Yeah they seem to be lacking recently on those.

Maybe for handhelds but the release of what 1 game on the PS3 in FFXIII 4 years in is a lot of games lol

It's what big pubs do. Make bad games, but enough of them to penetrate the market and still turn a profit. See EA/Activision.
