Why Are You Even Getting A PS4 This Year?

With most of the PS4 launch titles also being on PS3, what are youur reasons for getting a PS4 this year?

PS4 launch lineup:

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Battlefield 4

Call of Duty: Ghosts

Driveclub

Just Dance 2014

Killzone: Shadow Fall

Knack (lol)

Lego Marvel Super Heroes

Need for Speed: Rivals

Skylanders: Swap Force

and Watch Dogs

You can play most of these on the PS3, meanwhile you can't play Beyond, Grand Theft Auto V, Gran Turismo 6, etc on the PS4 because lack of backwards compatibility. 

Also do you neglect your PS3 for having a better lineup so you can justify getting a PS4 at launch? 

Because they will look and run better than the current gen equivalent 

The online components will also last longer as the current gen gets phased out

Hope your Fat launch PS4's survive long enough.

Even though there are a lot of great games to be played at launch, I still feel like there are even more to be played on the PS3 so I'm not buying one for another year or two.

Either of the above, got no working consoles anymore, and given how I used my PS3 as a blu-ray drive, im getting a PS4 for that very reason.

(basicly sees it as a really nice blu-ray drive I can play games on if I am extremely board ;) )

multiplat games look to be running a little more solid on it, as well as the exclusives just looking better in general. That and I don't wanna mess it up like I did on PS3 and not have PS+ from the beginning so I can keep adding games to my instant library as they get added. I jumped on board PS+ 2 months ago and I can't fathom the amount of free games I missed out on due to me thinking it was ass.

i'm not.

i'm getting it next year.

It seems to make fanboys like the TC have a meltdown and thats always fun.  

But Seriouly PS4 will be the best all around gaming platforn next gen if you are questioning why people are jumping down to get one you shouldn't be on this website

Honestly, I was one that was a day one purchase for the PS4. But due to the reversal pulled my M$ and the lackluster lineup, I'm really liking what the XBone has to offer. I'm really considering picking that up with COD:Ghosts and Forza and waiting on the PS4 until the ND game comes out. It's weird since I have owned every Playstation, including Vita and PSP since launch day. 

Because making poor decisions is fun

Knack, Watch Dogs, and Infamous are really the only games I'm interested in. Knack of course being the only launch exclusive. I've got a PS4 pre-ordered, but I may just cancel it and wait a year or so until there are more games.

Because whether or not you buy it this year or later, it doesn't matter. If you buy it this year you get to play it sooner. The more people buy it sooner will mean more games made for it faster, as money talks to game devs.

Next gen bandwagon... there really isnt anything at launch I want, that I can't get on PC.... but I've wanted an upgrade from the PS3 & 360 for years now... and I'm done waiting. So yeah, I'm jumping on the bandwagon... Sony's bandwagon... not the date drug slippin' other bandwagon marked with an "X", that pretends to be nice until they've got you where they want you.

Because I need something for my livingroom.

I also don't even own any consoles at the moment other than the Wii which I never touch. I had an Xbox 360 but gave it to my bro and went with PC.
