Namco, probably the biggest japanese xbox 360 support, had 2 amazing titles, that were complete duds: eternal sonata, and ace combat 6. All of their support, ace combat 6, Ridge racer 6, and eternal sonata combined sold less then 750 thousands copies, and combined in japan sold less then 250,000. I still don't understand, why if you have one of the best game publishers, you just completely ignore them. Sega support with condemned: criminal origins, Virtua Fighter 5, Culdcept Saga, phantasy star universe together couldn't break a million, with vf5 selling 350,000 less on xbox 360 then on ps3 even though being the superior version. And japan wise haven't broke 150,000. numba1234did u buy any of those games for ur 360? :?

[QUOTE="BreakingPoint8"]Hmm, where are these numbers from exactly?numba1234vgchartz (which should be useful for japan because they use famitsu numbers.
Ace Combat 6 - Was over shadowed by better games this holiday season. Halo 3, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4 and so on. 380,000
Eternal Sonata - Niche game that was released a week before Halo 3 launched. Bad timing, bad results. The game is pretty good, but it's also not a title that would get much attention anywhere. 200,000
Ridge Racer 6 - It's an arcade racer, only Japan digs this game. 190,000
Condemned: Criminal Origins - Launch title, none of the Xbox 360 launch titles sold well. 450,000
Virtua Fighter 5 - Launched 8 months after the Playstation 3 version during the holiday season. Not to mention the fact that fighting games don't sell like they used to.
Phantasy Star Universe - It's literally a direct PS2 port, what were you expecting? It's also trash compared to PSO.
To answer, because Microsoft is obviously making deals with them. I hope you're not implying that these games would all be million sellers on the Playstation 3.

Err, I think that would be Capcom, who have had 2 million sellers on the 360, so...
I don't know what your definition of "selling well" is because Condemned sold enough to warrant a sequel.
Anyway I blame poor marketing. I don't think I've ever seen a commercial for any of those games, except for maybe AC6. I don't know if Sega/Namco are trying to sell by osmosis, but if you want to break 1 million in sales you pretty much need an ad campaign.
I bought Virtua Fighter for ps3....did not like it...it was not a real improvement on the series...not much has changed over the years except some graphics.
I bought Ace Combat 6 for 360. I did not like it too much either.
I bought RR6 and RR7 for the respective consoles just becuse they were launch titles......but they were not that good. Same old games with some nicer graphics.
Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, etc are typical JRPG's that just dont appeal to me, or appeal to a lot of 360 owners in general. They keep trying to bring these games to the 360 audience for some reason, but they always bomb no matter how good ( or not good ) they are. Same goes with Square Soft and Sega with FF and Phantasy Star....these companies really did not try to make a good xbox360 games, just trying to milk off of old titles .Why should we support them?

And it isn't even out yet. :|
Out of all of those, the only one I bought was Condemned: Criminal Origins. And it was a fantastic game. The rest of them really hold no interest for me. The 360 DOES sell a massive amount of software with an attach rate of something like 6.9 games per console, but it seems that most of these titles didnt seem to catch the mainstream interest. Who knows?JediRiff
I have 84 retail and 81 Live Arcade games for 360. I think I'm the kind of guy that the game companies have wet dreams about.....
