Why Arent These Games Getting Much Attention?

Hey there is alot of gold coming out of developers this year, but theres a title or two i dont get why these are hardly getting much hype or attention.

1. Brink- This games looks like it has lots of potential...the formula is honestly hit or miss but i am strongly anticipating it could hit... for those that dont know this is like a mix between mirrors edge and bad company 2 kind of, with a slightly cartoony look and the entire game, including story, is online, meaning all bad guys and good guys in story are actual players.... sounds neat to me. People have pointed this game out, but it really isnt getting the attention it deserves.

2. Splinter Cell 3DS- Hyped games for 3DS have basically been all the first party titles, plus metal gear, street fighter, and resident evil games.... but i really dont get why this game isnt catching a single person's eye... even nintendo wont release much gameplay or trailer videos on it, and nobody has demoed this game, yet its coming out at launch. Splinter cell has always been a terrific series, and i think this one is a port of chaos theory, which was arguabbly the best splinter cell ever. I dont quite get why, if all the other ports are getting attention, this one isnt!

3. Resistance 3- This game is getting quite little attention for whats supposed to be one of the biggest exclusives on PS3... i have heard very little on it and nobody really talks about it either... now, i am personally not a fan of it cus with alien shooters i am more of a halo or gears person. However, the series is supposed to be fairly great so i have heard.

4. Forza Motorsport 4- Maybe its too early to say this game deserves more attention, but since apparently forza is the highest rated racer franchise this gen now, i thought a bit more people would be anticipating this game. IDK, theres not much info on it but i just thought since it is coming this year it should be talked about more.

5. Okamiden- Last time i checked, even though okami sold terribly, gamers LOVED OKAMI!! So what gives, yea maybe this is not how you pictured Okami 2 to be ( a ds exclusive, not on PS3).. but even still the game is looking great and if you guys dont give this game much of a care, its going to sell terribly AGAIN!! I gaurentee no okami game will come to PS3 if that happens!!

So these are the biggest games this year i really felt have been extremely overlooked so far... i know the fabulous games this year look like they will blow these out of the water, but i just think they deserve better

What are your opinions on these five games? Any of them on your wishlist, or if none of them are tell why

I'm also surprised how no one is talking about the new Zelda, Skyward Sword. I'm quite hyped up for that game -- I'm actually getting the Zelda collection for my Wii and playing each of them in chronological order this month :lol:

those are all going to be okay games I think. While they all have strong points they all have something to hurt them

Lack of Marketing Perhaps, just not enough interest.

1. Brink is a new IP and have barely seen any marketing from the developers.
2. The last splinter cell did kill a lot of interest a lot of people had in the series. Also, like you said not much gameplay videos and no demos yet.
3. Resistance 2 has a bad reputation here, the series gets a lot of flack for being generic.
4. Just not a lot to talk about atm, there will be more talk once we find out more about Forza 4
5. Okamiden is a game on a portable system, portables are not talked about a lot here.

Splinter Cell 3DS is a port of Chaos Theory, I believe.

Forza will be hyped as soon as it's shown at E3.

Okamiden isn't made by the same people, so it's sort of a crapshoot.

Looking forward to resistance 3, Resistance 2 was the first ps3 game I played and a great first person shooter.

From what i heard, Brink played like absolute crap and that was one of the biggest reason's it has been delayed for so long.

These games need to be included:

Need For Speed Shift 2

Dirt 3

Skyward Sword (although I understand, not much has been going on with the game lately)

Torchlight II

what about skyrim? Im still playing oblivion, skyrim could be a 9/10 - 10/10 game

2. It's a port, and the videos looked like it had a bad framerate, which if you played DS or early Xbox 360 title this wouldn't be a surprise if true. And handheld games don't get discussed much... doesn't have teh graffix!

2. Splinter Cell 3DS- Because it's a port of a5 years old game. It's on a handheld.

3. Resistance 3- Because it doesn't have Halo numbers/scores or Killzone's graphics.

I'll probably get 1&5, but I didn't like the previous titles of 2-4, maybe I get Resistance3, but I really hated 2 :S

Im excited for Splinter Cell, however peopel who have seen it said its pretty rough right now.

I honestly think Okamiden is going to be terrible from the series stand point. Clover Studio (Now Platinum Games) made an excellent game from start to finish that really did not need another prequel/sequel.

I'd be on board with it if the original creators of the series were behind it.

Well, I did enjoy Resistance 1 more, but that's probably because we didn't have much choices back then to play a local MP FPS. I hated every single second of Resistance 2 SP, stopped after reaching this wood with the invisible enemies. Didn't play much of it's local MP because it didn't seem to do much new and the maps were boring :S I don't know how 3 will turn out, but I really hated 2 because it did nothing right IMO
