why buy a PS3??

Why buy a 360, thers nothing good about it? - see i can ask questions tooGsSanAndreas

I'm confused there is nothing great about the PS3 yet people are rushing to buy it, i'll probably get flamed here but give me some reasons to buy the PS3 when i can get the 360 an Wii for less.P-Roo

1. Because I want to play Metal Gear Solid 4.

2. I Dont want an Xbox 360 or a Wii right now.

Well you have 2 facts and 1 opinion. The facts are it has more games and its cheaper. The opinion is it has better games. You have to count the taste of the gamer. Whats good to you can be sucky to them.

I can't think of many reasons at all.

Though I'm considering getting one for 2 stupid reasons:

1. I havn't played MGS3:substance for the PS2 yet as I havn't got one

2. As I'm a James Bond Fan and MGM was bought over by Sony I'll have to get a a Blu-Ray player to watch Casino Royale in Hi-Def :|

£425 ($837) is kinda high just to play a PS2 game and watch one Hi-Def film

Reason to buy a PS3.../thread

If your buying the ps3 for future proof hardware then your a fool. The technology is over 2 years old now. The only thing going for it is the Blu-ray.

And yes the PS2 was aweful to program for to with its assembler only language and dire emotion engine which is why ps2 games looked as blocky as they do now.

If you like japanese designed games then you can't argue it, that is reason enough to splash out. Although spending £500 on it at  this moment in time is a bit strange, unless you want blu-ray. 

As for people in the UK these people never suprise me. When the PS came out there was a petition to the government about how  high the games were. Yet later the ps2 became the biggest selling console. The ps3 on the basis of the name will make people buy it in the UK regardless of price.

If you want to pay 500 quid plus for a console that shows nothing over its competitors then i have to say that all Uk people should have "Mug" pinned straight to their forehead. 

Thank god i am a PC owner. I quit consoles when Sony entered the fray with its blocky graphic consoles.
