Why cant I shoot kids in New Vegas?

There are a few other games where you arent allowed to shoot children. DONT put them in a shooting game if your going to put kids in God Mode.

Dragon Age let me kill a kid. I was really, really happy for some reason. Yeah Fallout doesnt let you do that...except on PC. There's a mod for that. It has to do with society frowning upon it. Airport scene in MW2? OUTRAGE! Killing kids in a post-apocolyptic world? OMG THE DEV HATES KIDS

For the same reason I'm not allowed to shoot kids in my backyard: It's taboo.

You can shoot kids in Fallout 2 but they actually deserved it though, because they always steal your ****

I heard from a friend the other day that they can't let people kill children because it is a crime to allow people to. I don't know where he heard that from, but sounds believable.

Becouse if you could it would just stir up controversy. Killing kids in F3 and NV also does not serve a purpose really. In Fallout 2 it had some purpose atleast.

They must be immune to bullets... just like real children ;)

The mods will make easy work of that. I still agree that they shouldn't have put the kids in the game if you can't do any of that stuff.

Wasn't like this back in the days of Deus Ex, I was actually really shocked when a kid got killed in a crossfire, I was like: "That is dark" but meh...

You can shoot the kids if you have hte PC version.

There is a mod out that lets you kill the kids (along with hundreds of other mods like brining all the hair styles from Oblivion into New Vegas and so amny more)

I remember killing children in the originals, you even gain a title when you do it. Does the PC version has that option?

Just because it's a game doesn't mean there should be some moral bounderies.
