Honestly reading through some of the posts on system wars is downright maddening when it comes to how stubborn people are. You don't have to be loyal to one game system or one game company. Each company has something to offer that will cater to some and not to others Microsoft has multiplayer down, Sony has multimedia capabilities and Nintendo innovates. I personally like Nintendo products but I also own a 360 and played PS2 for a long time. People who say "Nintendo is for kids" are just can't understand that you don't have to be a kid to play Mario or Zelda. No doubt many of these people played these games as kids and if they picked then up now they would find the games have evolved with them. That being said I love my 360 and battlefield 3 and I will buy a wii-u at launch.
SW is secretly a correctional concentration camp of fanboys. We put them to work by providing us gaming news and entertainment while laughing at them to make us feel more civilized. They will either assimilate into the superior ways of the GameSpot community or get gass- I mean banned :P
You're new to System Wars. The whole point is to be close-minded and nonsensical. Don't take it to heart though. I think most of the extreme stuff here is posted purely for the lulz.
I tend to stick with 1 system at a time and these days its the psp and soon vita. Far as N consoles I enjoyed them as a kid but no longer enjoy their 1st party games anymore.
If I would accept everybodies explanation of what is quality, and would accept every choice of a developer/publisher, then I would be a regular (wo)man. (Avoiding sexism.) Someone without a personality and opinion, only saying what people want to hear and using general laughter to make everything seem ok for as long as possible. There would be no point to system wars. This is the middle eastern portion of GS boards. We wage war because we have been waged war upon. If we would stop waging war everything around us would go on as usual, because the reasons for waging war are created by war itself. However, it would mean we would have to watch TV or herd goats. So we shall wage war.

Tell me one game series that has been around for 25 years and has changed as little as Nintendo franchises. Most games dont change cause they havent been around as long as Nintendo franchises has. People already complain about CoD and that only really got popular like 5 years ago. Nintendo has been doing the same thing for 25 years. Would it kill them to come up with some new characters? FF has used the same forumla for a long time also but atleast they have new characters, settings, story, etc.
Wii- If you are a kid or like playing the same rehashed Mario/Zelda games for the past 25 years
360- If you like shooters
PC- If you like RTS,MMO, or are an elitest
PS3- If you like a wide varity of games from diffrent genres.

So if mario is rehased then why was SMG2 able to tie for second highest rated game of this gen on MC.
It was reviewed against the standards of other Wii games. I love Ninetendo and I loved that game, but winning awards on the Wii is like winning the special Olympics lol

I can be objective but not open minded anymore unless I see a sale or buy used, because I've recently been getting disappointed with some of my purchases. Worst thing you can ever do is buy something on blind faith just because of reputation.
ive often believed that system wars is made up of 70% of people who are trolls who enjoy seeing people rage and 25% of people who genuingly believe the things that they say, and that last 5% is the sensible portion of system wars who hangs around here to see the ridiculous things that are said
