Why did Bungie split up with MS?

Could it be they want to make games for PS3 or Wii or both? Thoughts......

Why do people think that since Bungie isn't first party to MGS that developing for Sony or Nintendo is even a possibility?

Its like Insomniac and Sony. Sure if they wanted to they could develop for other platforms, most likely won't happen though.

Bungie will remain in its current location in Kirkland, Washington, and will retain its primary focus on Microsoft platforms

I think what it all means now is that now Bungie can makea new brand of game, MS can retain it exclusivly if it wants or let it pass by to other consoles.

Most sites are reporting Halo for example is still MS owned along wit bungie and will remain a MS exclusive.

If anything to me it seems like giving your a dog a bigger leash and a little more freedom.
