Why did Nintendo ruin Super Mario RPG with the Paper Mario's

My dad used to tell me don't do something unless you plan on doing it well.

Well these jack's thought it would be a great idea to revive Super Mario RPG WITHOUT SQUARE the company who pretty much did everything for the first super mario rpg game

And then they said we don't need them at all we've made RPG's like zelda, pokemon, fire emblem,

yes those are good RPG's

Paper Mario however WAS NOT good and was a epic failure disaster of massive proportions

NO NINTENDO YOU GOT IT WRONG yOU DID Not do anything right where do i begin why even revive a game like this unless you plan on doing everything better but NO NOO you think lets just mix it up and make it horrible in everyway possible

for starters it looks like a crap kiddy game in 2d

the amount of characters IS Garabge

mallow and geno the 2 best spell casters completely gone from the games

you can't play as bowser in the game he was teh funnest character in super mario rpg

the story is worse in every single way compared to super mario rpg

the battle system looks WORSE and isn't as fun at all time hits from super mario rpg were epic the crap in paper mario isn't

super mario rpg has an uber ff boss named culex yet in paper mario u dont get any cool secret bosses u get bunch of crap

heres a hint next time u want to make a new mario rpg make sure u go into thinking lets make everything better

IN NO WAY shape or form was any paper mario INCLUDING the wii ones better then super mario rpg original the entertaining forest maze music THERES not a single song in paper marios that can compete with that one and EVERYONE AND THEIR MOM KNOWS THIS what have you done to mario rpg i've not heard one person tell me paper mario si the best rpg ever and ppl tell me all the time howw much they love super mario rpg and its up their on there best rpg charts

Well TC, while I highly disagree with some of your reasoning and the way you presented it, I am glad that at least someone elseout there prefers Mario RPG over the Paper Marios. But we are in the minority buddy.

I loved Mario RPG from start to finish. I tried 3 different times over the years to get into TTYD, but it just felt like a boring chore. The game had a certain charm to it that kept me going, but eventually it couldnt make up for how boring I found the game in general.

ZarbonX, you don't seem old enough to remember SMRPG.

Super Mario RPG is a good game, and has it's supporters, but for Paper Mario and Paper Mario: TTYD were much better games. I still replay them every so often.

Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door is one of my favorite RPGs of all time, maybe my #1.

So I disagree. :P

Intelligent Systems is technically a first party, internal development team.

They didn't they just made it better. Also don't diss the Mario and Luigi games because the alot of fun too.

They still make them, there was a GBA one and two for the DS. Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story got editors choice here last year

I liked Paper Mario more than the majority of platforming Mario's, to be honest.

Intelligent Systems is technically a first party, internal development team.

Their first in-house games were Famicom Wars and Fire Emblem but they still had help from R&D 1.

I never enjoyed any of the Paper Mario's I played... and still hope for another isometric, turn-based, Mushroom Kingdom-set, Bowser-teaming-up-with Super Mario RPG sequel. But then again, my faith in Nintendo for other things (Metroid: Dread, more F-Zero) hasn't stayed very strong.

Because Square wasn't involved.
