Gosh darnit, don't you just HATE it when companies give you a cool FREE and OPTIONAL program?UGH, it's disgusting.urdead18Gosh darnit, dont you hate whenthey also hype it to be the best thing since sliced bread and it fails hard
[QUOTE="urdead18"]Gosh darnit, don't you just HATE it when companies give you a cool FREE and OPTIONAL program?UGH, it's disgusting.heretrixThat's the problem right there. Where's teh cool? It's got a crap load of customization options, bowling, pool, movie theatre, difference game spaces, treasure hunts, etc. I'm not saying it is awesome, but it's FREE. YOU CAN JUST IGNORE IT. If you want it, just click it. It's that easy. It's not some mandatory substitute for the XMB, it's just an additional program, I know alot of people that love it just so they can meet new people/chat and play bowling with friends. FOR FREE.
Huh ? I thought it was doing pretty well for a beta. glenn2709you know that it already had a beta...and now it is time to step up
Gosh darnit, don't you just HATE it when companies give you a cool FREE and OPTIONAL program?UGH, it's disgusting.urdead18Just because something is free does not make it good? Also not pure free since it is microtransactioned out the ying yang with charging for fake game pants, fake game chairs, fake game clubs, and so on. Also read the reviews from any critic IGN, Giant Bomb or whatever and cool is not the right adjective to use more like dull or pointless.

Since when do you HAVE to buy clothes or w/e, it's all optional, if you hate it so much, ignore it, it's not like when they released Home is hurt all Ps3 users, it benefited some, and had zero effect on others. I never use it, but that doesn't mean somebody else won't.
[QUOTE="heretrix"][QUOTE="urdead18"]Gosh darnit, don't you just HATE it when companies give you a cool FREE and OPTIONAL program?UGH, it's disgusting.urdead18That's the problem right there. Where's teh cool? but it's FREE. YOU CAN JUST IGNORE IT.That's exactly what I'm doing. At least until EA drops some poker tables into that bad boy. I've already suggested a casino space. Now THAT would be cool. The "activities" they have in there now are lame. And if I want to wait on a bowling lane, I just go to a real bowling alley. At least I know the girls are real.
For the most part.
Have to say, I have yet to go on to Home. Just have no desire at all to do so.SpruceCaboose
Spruce, You should give it a whirl. If only to see how absolutely lame it is at the moment. As people are saying here, it is free, but you have to see for yourself what a mess it is.

I never use it, but that doesn't mean somebody else won't. Hour a victory for the 360 scored a 2.0. The game has not hurt the 360 at all and I am sure there are people that do enjoy the game but that does not make it a good game. Same thing with Home. Sure some may enjoy it and it may not cripple the PS3 but that does not make it good. Just face it some things stink. If something stinks on your console of choice you are not forced to defend it you can just admit it or just ignore it.

Well the PS3 fanboys had been raging on the optional stuff that cost money on Xbox Live (such as themes, gamerpics, ect), at least with the 360 Avatar they are giving the gamer more free clothes (until the rumored Avatar market place opened up). Also Home had a ton of hype behind it, so while Home may be good for some PS3 users, it isn't for alot of the others.

And like the guy above me said, it's got good potential. Yeah, it does suck right now, IMO, but a lot of people like it, so good for them, doesn't affect me at all.

Yeah, it's amazing how things change. When MS charged you for themes, it's a ripoff. When Sony charges you for virtual doll clothing and virtual doll house accessories, it's a success story.[QUOTE="urdead18"] Since when do you HAVE to buy clothes or w/e, it's all optional, if you hate it so much, ignore it, it's not like when they released Home is hurt all Ps3 users, it benefited some, and had zero effect on others. Who cares about optional things? There are some themes that cost money on Playstation store as well, it's just that PSN in general is free, that's why I think Ps3 fanboys are raging about that stuff, because you're already paying to use Live.[QUOTE="rybe1025"][QUOTE="urdead18"]Gosh darnit, don't you just HATE it when companies give you a cool FREE and OPTIONAL program?UGH, it's disgusting.urdead18Just because something is free does not make it good? I dunno it seems interesting. I swear I've seen a few articles around that said sony might be getting some developers onboard to offer old old arcade classics. They already have some levels from games offered as a place to get together; I've seen some farcry 2 level and some uncharted level personally. Just maps not the game itself of course. Some bar from farcry 2 is available in sony home with arcade games and what not. They may want to make the stuff like arcades and what not instanced.
I'm a pc gamer so I don't really care what they do for consoles, however if I see something interesting I'll give them a chance.

When you buy these clothings, house accesossories, etc. it ENHANCES the gameplay. Similar to a map pack.

Not really man... comparing a map pack to an avatar's t-shirt is a terrible comparison. A better comparison is comparing a t-shirt to horse armor... :?[QUOTE="Gl0ry_L0rd"][QUOTE="heretrix"]Yeah, it's amazing how things change. When MS charged you for themes, it's a ripoff. You are still doing the same lame things. It enhances nothing. How does a skin make the gameplay better? You have to admit though, it does make the gameplay better.

"Why did Sony EPIC fail so bad with Playstation HOME?" Because you touch yourself at night..... but seriously stop crying over it, its a free application its not a mandatory upgrade like the NXE if it was that bad no one would use it.evlnoodlenxe is amazing though

It isn't a game. And if I have to pay money for any of that stuff, it certainly isn't making my experience any better.if I have to pay money for any of that stuff, it certainly isn't making my experience any better.heretrix

Its only just come out hasn't it?And I think its still in the beta, give it a chance it looks like its got potential. it had a beta a while ago also, it is very lackluster right now, only diehard sony fanboys would say otherwiseTC, the only thing that FAILS is your LOGIC
You state that Sony has an EPIC FAIL with HOME, but you never STATE what its FAILS at.
FUN? PROFITS? USERS?
Well Home is a FREE program that many USERS do log in to. It is FUN, but its not a GAME. Its merely a networking program
You act like it was made to sell systems but it wasn't. It was made basically for making money for Sony from advertisement which it is doing. Home is making it's purpose to Sony so no, it doesn't fail.DanteSuikodenyou must have missed the hype then

If you mean the hype from Sony, it was known from the very beginning that they made it to make money from advertisements. Read Mr. Floppy's post if you still don't understand
