Why did they delay GTA 4?

I never clearly got to know why they delayed GTA IV.PS3Licker

It's too mature for the Wii's main audience. It would have to be a bunch of mini games to be allowed on the Wii.

360 version was shown. Looked great though no people yet didn't run well. PS3 version is a couple weeks behind in development so it probably runs even worse at this moment in time. The reason is both games aren't nearly done yet.

now add all the other hiccups that come into making every game and every version and the fact that now R* devs are working on two VERY different machines at the same splitting your man power this all lead to delay. don't listen to idiots who claim it's the PS3 or 360 version only.
