360 and the XBOX: simply for RAREWARE, thats it. they are my favorite developer and I will always follow them.
Wii: Smash bros, and thats all that interests me.
PS3: some of its platforming games, and exclusives. Also seems like it has more action type games (heavenly sword, ninja gaiden, ratchet and clank, GOW)

For Rareware? Ouch. They kinda fell from grace in my opinion. I love their older games, but since MS grabbed them they haven't been doing so hot.
It was cheap. I fell for the hype. I wanted to finally be able to own a copy of Super Metroid on a working console. I have been obsessed with MP3C ever since I first saw the footage of it being played.
I got an X360 'cause of the games and the fact that every single game is connected to Live. The console holds my most wanted games out now and in development. So the choice was very easy.
I ended up going with PS3... here's why: 1. Brand loyalty. I've been with Playstation since 1995. (starting my 12th year!) 2. Backwards Compatibility 3. Controller Design. It's 10 years old, but it works and I like it. 4. Games comming to it look awesome. More action adventure games. 5. Free online Those are my main reasons, but there are others. I eventually will purchase a Wii as well. But that's still a few years off.
I got a PS3, because my boy friend decided it would be a nice gift for graduation for me. Though I personally wouldn't pay $600 for it myself, I love it and it is a great system. And it helps cause I'm a big RPG fan (Japanes rpg's). And love action adventures, that doesn't always revolve around shooting.
Xbox 360: I don't have one of those yet. I'm iffy on if I want one now, with all the multi-plat releases. I honestly don't see anything past Halo 3, and a bunch of uncomfirmed new IP's. It's not screaming buy me, buy me. At the moment.
Nintendo Wii: Ummm, I'm not sure if I ever will get one of those. From what I'm seeing it's just all mingames and Zelda, which can be played on the Gamecube, and throwing my arm around doesn't make it any more fun to me. Though I bought the Gamecube specifically for Super Smash brothers. I didn't want to make the same mistake here, so I'll hold off on this one, until Super Smash brothers comes out, and their online is proven to work.
Wii - because it was only $250 I came close to buying a 360 Premium for $200, but felt torn between it and the inevitable revised edition. I never got around to buying one, but will get one for Halo 3.

Ugh..you passed on a premium for $200? That was a bad decision. You could have bought it for that price then sold it for possibly a bit more if the revised version sees the light of day. You should go back and get it.

got a wii because i dont consider myself a hardcore gamer (dont play games like I use to) and the wii is the perfect system for me. Ill get the 360 when all the bugs are cleaned up.
I got a 360 for Oblivion and Halo 3 ( I was playing Halo 2 alot whilst waiting for 360 , I dont want it so much now.) But since I have enjoyed Saints Row (IMO better than GTA, Laggy online :evil: ) , GRAW Online and single were really good, Dead Rising Original and a step away from Resident Evil, Both Cod2 and 3 (I played Cod2 on comp. and I was really annoyed that the first time I went online the server made smoke green and when I played Single the smoke was green all through the game) I enjoyed Cod2 with friends and Cod3 was quite poor to be honest, destructible environments ? what indestructible environments? and At the moment Rainbow six Vegas Its good online (Even though its all Calypso Casino Attack and defend) Im yet to play Single Player... Oh and Gears of War Multiplayers average aand ranked is virtually pointless but Co - Op story with my brother was one of the best Co-ops I have done..
I got a 360 for: 1) PGR3 2) matches up pretty will with my (then) new HDTV (720p/1080i). 3) backwards compatible with most of my large xbox game collection. 4) Xbox Live
Afterwards, my purchase was strengthened with GRAW, GeOW, iPod compatibility, and the expanded capabilites of XBL.

Agreed. its like the IT thing to do. Everyones a rebel all of a sudden. Sony will still end up with a great gaming machine, and this time it wont be last in the graphics department.

Ok but japan and NA have perfect BC. and PS3's BC in EU is going to be about on-par with 360's. So whats the problem here? If anything Microsoft should be the one getting the slap on the wrist here.
Secondly, Marketing and PR have nothing to do with the experience you have with a PS3 when its in your home.

I got a 360 for the great line-up of games coming this year and the next one !! Mass effect, Offset, Halo3, Fable, Halo Wars, KUF:CoD, AC, Elveon !! and many more !
360 because I wanted the sequels of a lot of games I owned on my Xbox. Also the 360 seems to have a lot of great games. I don't really care about live support as I don't really want to play live. And I feel I made the right choice, the achievement system was a brilliant idea and it got me hooked to about every game except PES6. I was also considering buying a Wii, because I allways liked Nintendo, just because of their original gameplay.
wii- nintendo, pretty much sums it up. Super metroid on the VC, super mario galaxy, and letting my metal gear solid crazy cousin play as snake on super smash bros. 360- will be getting it because once i finish my gcse's I will have 3 months of freedom, i will probably borrow tons of my friends 360 games ( as he has all the big ones) so i think Geow, dead rising are the ones i want as well as prey, to see how quake 4 plays on the console. Halo 3 may be a factor as well :P
Well, my PC runs FPS, RPGs and RTSes better than the 360, plus there's no real system seller for me. GoW got old after beating the campaign once, and I hate the multiplayer. I wanted some interesting games that my PC really couldn't compare with, so I got a Wii.
