Been playing COD4 for a while now, love it. Last weekend, I was at a pawn shop, and picked up Battlefield: Bad Company for $15 on a whim. The single player was ok. When I tried the online, I was BLOWN AWAY. Same basic gameplay as COD4, but the maps are WAY bigger and more complex. You can swim out to islands and snipe from it, you can climb way high onto construction cranes and pick people off, you can pack a jeep with C4 and blow people up, or you can get into the heat of battle, COD4-style. Pretty much every building can be entered. Much more squad tactics are needed in this game too. It's not a fragfest where you run into a bad guy every 5 seconds. The maps range from pretty big to absolutely HUGE, and it is so fun to snipe people from like a mile away. The vehicle use is a lot of fun too, and multiple players can kick butt from a tank or hummer. The graphics are better than COD4, IMO.
The only downside is a somewhat limited gun selection, and no real choice in gunsights. There is also sometimes some lag, but I usually just log out of online and then log back in, and it is ok.
Why doesn't this game get more love? I have been OBSESSED with this game since I got it. So much fun.
