Why didn't this game receive more attention?

I just finished Radiant Historia today... How is it this game didn't receive more attention last year? This is one of the msot unique JRPG's ever made, insanley creative, but very well put together. The story is outstanding, the graphics are great, the gameplay is superb (but not without problems) and the soundtrack is so ridiculously well made... I really hate to see a game as great as this fly under the radar of so many people. This is undoubtedly one of 2011's best games, yet almost no one played it. Why is that?

I admit to my bigotry against boxart like that. I hate it, and JRPG's. They just bore me. So I write them off without even trying them. Need to look at JRPG's again as everything changes, including our tastes.cainetao11

Well, look at the cover art. And this is coming from someone who likes Anime. :P

Also, handheld JRPGs (and JRPGs in general) only appeal to niche audiences.

The best RPG I've experienced on handheld since TWEWY/Chrono Trigger DS. I LOVE the whole time travel system and how it was very reminiscent of Chrono Trigger. I'm just angry at how poorly advertised this game was. Easily one of the best RPGs this generation IMO.

Really good game. Second favorite game of they year next to Portal 2.

I got lucky and somehow managed to land a used copy at the local GameStop not too long ago.

Story, soundtrack, gameplay, etc., all of it is very high quality.

Jammed with stuff to keep you busy as well.

Story is solid and time travel is executed fantastically.

Battle system offers a lot of diversity.

Some backtracking is neccessary and limited soundtrack (though wonderful). Also, character movement at first felt a bit weird.

Good game though, DS owners wanting a good JRPG fix should check it out.

Will most likely be known as one of those hidden gems in later years (if not already).

I've always known about that game, but just never bought it due to not having a sh*t ton of money and just decided to buy other games/stuff, that and being busy with college and having a large enough backlog as it is...

Does look good though.

So are the Mario, Pokemon, and Wii Series franchises the three highest selling video game series in video game history soley because Japanese people bought them?

America is the Japanese gaming industry's biggest market.

The game is ridiculously hard to find. I've never seen it in any store, but if I do find it, I will pick it up.

I want to but it's just become ridiculously expensive. :(

Crap, I didn't realize the price was so high. I got it as a gift, and the person said they just found it at Gamestop... I got super lucky I guess.

You guys complaining about price should try a place other than the internet.

Hastings has personally surprised me with the titles they carried in the past. I never really shopped their much, but I had given up all hope on finding a DS game I wanted entitled "Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless Frontier", and yet there it was sitting at Hastings. Multiple copies too! And this was a few months after release.

That store, as well as the few locally-owned places around my area, have surprised me plenty of times in the last few years. You just have to check in every once in a while. It's near pointless to shop online for rare goods because the people selling their stuff online obviously know what the value is because they just check the prices of that same good right there as they post.

Best Buy has it on their site for $35. (Backordered, but still)
If you have a DS and don't own this, you're really missing out on one of it's greatest games.

Why didn't Metal Arms Glitch in the System receive more attention. That game was (and still is) gold.ZumaJones07

absolutely fantastic game! I talked it up quite a bit last year. Showed it off to a number of my friends, convinced a few of them to pick it up even.

It would figure that a great game like this would get forgotten at release but then shoot up in price on places like ebay not even a year later.

I looked it up and the concept seems pretty neat but not 85 dollars neat.
