Why do 360 owners hate HOME so much?

Why do so many bash home and assume they know everything about it, are they afraid a free service will destroy their paid online service cause honestly it was never meant 2. It isn't home vs live since there will always be psn aswell, home is just an optional area where you can meet an play with other people and stream content from each others hardrive wheteher it be music or movies or pictures. I also hear now they are now going to create a itunes service in home where you can purchase music, also movies will also be able to purchase and many other things. Home will just be an area where you can purchase virtual stuff, music, movies and games and also be able to share content and jump into game and the ability to socialise but as you can see it is not meant to take on live and in my opinon probably never will. The fact is it's a free service where we can do all of those things which will only enhance Ps3 online service and i think that you can't say ANYTHING bad about it since it's free and optional so son't worry it was never meant to take on live so why all the hate

If you're going to think of it that way then playing any video game is essentially a "time waster". I mean, you rarely benefit from it.

because their "rival" is getting something that actaully looks really good...and because they either cant get mommy to buy them a Ps3, or just dont have a ps3 for other reasons are trying to convince themselves that it sucks because they will never get a chance to play it

Totally agree. The ideas are neat but I think they I don't see how they add to gaming within a 3D environment. Now that I think about it, if you take the 3D things off, it would be XBL. Maybe that's the reason they are making it that way.

They cant have it, so they pretend its not good. This way they wont be as worried about not getting it.

I think it will be great. Its not meant to be a game. I like it as I will be able to chat with friends, whilst sharing my videos, music and pics with them. It makes talking to friends who have a ps3 easier, plus it makes playing online toghether easier.

Plus you will be able to watch trailers streamed without having to download them and you can get info on the ps3 there.

It just makes the online better.

Its not a nessessity, but its great to have.

Plus its sonys wayof combating XBL. It will have all the functionalites of live, but in a 3D world, which will make it more fun. some may not like it, but I think it will be great. Can you watch movies with friends, say a HD one thats really new, whilst chatting to a friend, before setting up an online game on XBL. Its much more social and flexable. Its an upgraded XBL. But it will have disadvantages. like everything.

I'm a PS3 user and I don't see the point in it.

What Playstation live is missing is not a huge 3d chatroom.

Keep in mind trophies have been an idea for Home since their initial mock ups for the whole design of it. So I dont think that it was completely copied off of MS, I think them seeing the "sucess" of Achievements just showed them how much it matters if they were to impliment it into Home.

And I have read somewhere, MS is making a 3D virtual world for LIVE, maybe it is a Live Replacement.... but isn't that just copying HOME after what MS PR said about HOME?gamenux

I completely agree. It's down to personal tastes, but you have to wait what seems like forever for a 3d XBL. They should have just released a text based menu system a year ago. I really don't get why you'd want all the fuss of 3d environments, even with replays and min games. Just press menu, and start gaming. If and when microsoft do something similar, there is 0% chance i will use it over simple menus.
