Why do casuals and non gamers think the Wii is the most fun?

8/10 non-gamers or casuals thinks the Wii is the most fun... give or take. Talk to people.

Why is this?

Umm... maybe that's because there are games for the Wii that are fun.

I know I had fun playing Wii Sports. I know I still kind of want a Wii. But I know I want the 360 and Ps3 more, which is why I'll soon have them both.

well a lot of them play them with friends, drinking game, pothead game, it must be a lot of fun under the influence, but they really are only playing wii sports, they don't keep updated about games nor do I think they're very interested.

Its also very cheap and again the technology is very fun for them because it does promote physical movement, a lot of adults get it too because it's for their kids, it's the cheapest and they use it for keeping in shape, wii fit will sell like crazy.

It's kind of like jingling keys in front of a kitten, there's nothing special about it but it can keep their attention for a long time before they realize how crappy it really is.

Because most of them don't know any better. It's amazing how many people I know truly believe the Wii is just as capable of a product as the PS3 or X360. My friend at work just got a Wii and he knows I'm a gamer. He came up to me going on and on about how awesome the graphics are. His exact words. "The graphics are incredible."

Personally my family is having a lot more fun with my PS3 than my Wii. Especially with Rockband. If you want a game that is interactive and gets everyone involved, that is what people should be buying.

new way to play games. More people are interested in that over updated graphics. But you also have to look that non gamers are buying it too. My aunts and uncles who don't play games even bought a wii for parties. Thats why its selling well cause the wii is not only bringing in gamers but its bringing in non gamers.

I think thats hardcore gamers and some casuals. Non gamers could careless about the visuals.

I prefer fun games with good graphics.

Because its EASY,

I had my girlfriend in front of Smooth Moves and she can play for an hour, I sit her down in front of Halo or Uncharted and she is confused in 10 minutes.

We EXPECT games to have more depth and detail, while most folks want something they can pick up and play.

major hype, it's the "in" thing right now.

everyone knows that everyone else wants it.

this is the reason, combined with a little milking, waggle, and a tiny bit of nintendo genius.

The casuals and non-gamers are about as competative as a cucumber,thus Wii is the greatest thing on earth to them.

Because the Wii has the most games that appeal to casuals,at least more than the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Yes and that too, the wagglestick was designed to hypnotize sheep into thinking it's fun. When it really is just a different control scheme with games that are just as enjoyable with a normal controller.

haha...i'm a semi-hardcore gamer and i love the nintendo system. oh, well, guess i'm a "casual" now.

I don't know of any console that has that price tag.

For me wii is the most fun because if it weren't for it, i wouldn't own a home console. I'm a pc gamer. And Wii is the only reason why i even considered buying a home console again, after about 6 years. I get my shooters, racing, fps, etc from my pc. And from my wii i get nice adventure games, mini games, puzzles, platformers, fun games from the 1st party, games like no more heroes, endless ocean, okami, mario kart, ssbm, mario galaxy, etc. Games you wont find on the pc.

Be honest, almost half ps3/360 games are also on the pc. And the pc does them better.
