Halo 3 probably sold more then all the ps3 exclusives put together and thats without a bundle. Then the other games like gears of war, fable 2,mass effect and many others sale more and are more well known.

Sales, oh wonderful!
Oh, you mean let's compare Halo sales?
Halo is a phenom. Let's get over it, it's a fantastic seller.

As far as PURE TOTALS, the 360 has a HIGHER INSTALL BASE than the PS3 (360 was cheaper, and it came out a Full Year Before the PS3), so it's kind of obvious what you are asking. While that's fine and dandy as far as the INSTALL BASE, I only bring it up because you seem to see PURE TOTALS, and you aren't factoring HOW MANY 360's are out there, HOW MANY PS3's are out there.
HOWEVER, if you look at sales of EXCLUSIVES on both platforms more fairly, looking at the INSTALL BASES of both consoles, you will find that many HIGH PROFILE PS3 exclusives sell very well. Let's not forget MGS4's OUTSTANDING Sales, TC.

No more sales threads please.
360 has a greater install base, much of which consists of casuals who feel either obligated to buy games like Halo or just don't know their **** and buy whatever everyone else does.
dont forget, microsoft counts shipped items as sold items. sony counts sold items as sold items.DangerHiVoltageLast I heard it was the other way around.

A few years ago, that would be true, but both companies shifted on that policy. You've been misinformed, time to excercise the old Google Search Engine.
Also, what is up with these threads that don't have proper info to start with?

SolidTy speaks the truth.dont forget, microsoft counts shipped items as sold items. sony counts sold items as sold items.DangerHiVoltage
LOL. Actually the opposite is true MS counts shipped to retailers (means the retailer paid for it) as sold and Sony counts shipped into their Warehouse as sold(means it has NOT been sold). Nice try spreading Cow propaganda.
Halo 3 didnt sell more than all exclusives put together. Only 2. That would be MGS4 and Uncharted 1. Mostly Sony published exclusive sells over a million and some sell 3 million like Uncharted 1 and Resistance 1.
cuz of lack of exclusives.
odst for an example, no AAAe for years and then BAM!
I think the topic was about games selling not scoring. Nice try.;)except for halo and gears most of thesales of ps3 and 360 exclusiveswere about the same, there was athread about it like last weekgo dig it up
Cuz if bungie released Halo babies it would sell One Million in a day and people would still buy it cause of the Halo name.Solid_Max13Has that game been announced? No.
No, it's just Halo 3 and Gears. MGS4 sold more than the others and LBP + Uncharted sold around the same. The PS3 doesn't have it's uber-selling game yet, GT5. (GT is still bigger than any Xbox franchise)Halo 3 probably sold more then all the ps3 exclusives put together and thats without a bundle. Then the other games like gears of war, fable 2,mass effect and many others sale more and are more well known.

I'd like to think swamplord666's love of pie has something to do with it too.

You would think that Wii exclusives will sell more because they have the largest install base.
gago-gago
wii has 4 of the top 5 best selling games this gen so far
If Halo sales were the standard by which we judge a games sales, then outside of a couple of Wii Games, every game would be a sales flop.

only if you combine sales from both platforms... youre right, i should have specified best selling 'exclusive' games. this thread is about 'exclusives', but i didnt make it clear
actually, AC has transcended SMG and SSBB in sales, but only if you add up the total from the ps3, 360 and PC... 3 platforms
regarding halo:
yes, halo would be the other best selling exclusive game in the top five
