I dont understand why they top of the line hardware than can go into the hundreds or thousands but then pirate games with a lame excuse of its not worth buying. How is a a 300$ videocard going to help when you will never get use out of it. At first I thought PC gamers were mainly poor mostly from the third world. But some of them have good pcs even the ones from heavily pirate countries liek Russia. While console users are loyal to MS, Sony and Nintendo hermits are much worse buying thousands of $ worth of parts from gpu manufactures then not even bothering to buy games.

Seems they dont care if PC gaming is dead as long as their hardware is safe? discuss

You are overgeneralizing. I haven't upgraded my computer since 2009 and don't intend to for another year. The overall stagnation of graphics in multiplat games does not help add compelling reasons for me to upgrade. BF3 might be an exception but that will depend on the performance of my current card.

You are assuming that those buying the high-end hardware are the pirates. Is there any correlation regarding this? Plenty of PC gamers/Hermits buy games.

Yeah, PC gamers are all pirates, that's why Valve is bankrupt right?

You're overgeneralizing. Most people spend less than $1000 on a PC and don't buy anymore parts for over two or three years. I'm building a sub-thousand dollar PC this year and don't plan on upgrading until late 2013-mid 2014.

heavily pirate countries liek Russia.

A lot of people actally have more fun tweeking the graphics more then they actually do playng he game. It's like a drug for some. Once you get that new $500 GPU but that multiplat looks pretty much the same as it does o X-Box 360 you feel compelled to upgrade.

I used to game on a free computer that I picked up from my school (P4 2.8 Ghz, 2GB DDR400 RAM) and a $50 HD 3650 AGP card. I also had an Xbox 360 and a Wii. I bought almost all my games (except for the ones that simply can't be found in stores) and I played on the PC wayyyy more. No need to genralise.

I wouldn't be proud of being 'loyal' to a company that couldn't care less about you. I only buy things that I deem worthy of being bought.

Prove that PC gaming is dead.

A high-end rig actually helps in most games... I know some friends that spend copious amount on buying the latest hardware just to max the games and to have 45-60 FPS. However, they don't buy software because it doesn't really changed their gaming experience, if anything else, they get games for free despite the lack of online play (which they don't care about)
