Why do i NOT like Dragon Age??

Ok, ive been tracking this game for a while. I usually jump on anything made by bioware. ive watched all the reviews, and hours of gameplay on youtube and it looked fun. So i went and bought it today, and i just dont like it :( Iheard plays like Mass Effect so i bought it. But i just cant get into it for some reason. Im currently 3 hours into it............does it get better?? I usually like WRPGs, but this one is................different...........help!! :? Am i playing it wrong?

I think you are misinformed. Dragon Age is not supposed to play like Mass Effect. Actually, it's gameplay is meant to be similar to the Baldur's Gate series.

I could understand not liking the console versions of it though. According to the GS review, you can't go into a third person isometric view to look at everything that's going on..big downer for me. I'd get this game on the PC.

Keep playing man...one thing I realized about WRPGs is you have to endure with the beginning grind a little, but as soon as you hit the 10-15 hour mark the game becomes amazing. This is how I felt about KOTOR, Fallout 3, and Planescape: Torment.

if you dont like the first 3 hours then i cant see you liking the rest. maybe if you stick with it it will grow on you, or start again with a differant character

Its nothing wrong with you. Its simply a matter of taste. I don't like GTA even though I can clearly see they are good. Sometimes games you want to like just don't click for you, it happens.

It's a traditional RPG they tend to take a lot more time to get into. You really have to settle into them or else it isn't going to hook you.

Also the console versions are garbage.Seriously, If you aren't playing DA on the PC you aren't playing it correctly.

You got that right. I wish I had a PC to play it on, but PC is severely dated so I stuck with the PS3 version. It is definitely more challenging, but I am still enjoying the game a lot.

Honestly, im scared of demon souls lol. Ive read/heard that it was hard, and im already a noob at everything :P , so it kinda scared me lol. How difficult is it on easy?

its deffinately closer to KOTOR than Mass Effect. Im completely into it at this point about 4 hours in. Its like any rpg, that adjustment period wears off after a few hours then you find yourself juggling spells attacks inventory tactics and things just pick up... give it time. the story is GREAT so far.

It's not gonna be for everyone.

It could be possible that you might get into if you play more.

I really didn't like GTA4 when I first played it. I kept going back to it though, and after several hours I actually got addicted to it. I even surprised myself (not that I think th game is worth a 10... far from it.)

Playing in your normal form makes the game easier but it leaves you open to being attacked by other players. You can also summon players to help you in this form.

I'm not a fan of hard games at all and I love it. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a pause feature. (sometimes life doesn't wait for you to finish fighting a skeleton) The combat is pretty straightforward.There is no difficulty setting because of the way the online mode is implemented, but don't let that deter you. Demon's Souls is worth giving a try. It's one of the best games this generation. Why miss out?

The first 3 hours are quite boring/predictable, but once the world opens up and you start getting more interesting party combinations, things pick up.

I'd keep at it for a bit longer.
