Why do Lems think the 360 has "the best game library this gen"?

Yes , the 360 has Halo 3 and Mass Effect ... I can play Bioshock and a better version of Gears of War on the PC...

To me the 360 has a better line up for now, but its ultimately up to personal preferences. I feel like the ps3 line up is going to overtake the 360's line up in 08, and that why I will buy a ps3 in 08

I think there are a lot of people who have mixed feelings about the Playstation 3 this year. Critics last year did have good things to say about the system. At the sametime there were a couple of high-profile games developed for the system that bombed or at least didn't live up to the total expectations of some gamers. That is where some of the negativity of the system stems from. Not so much as underwhelming, or disappointment. There are just high expectations for the Playstation name.

I for one have a Xbox 360 and do think that the game library is better simply because it has had more time to grow. I do plan on purchasing a PS3 for Final Fantasy XIII; but at the sametime 2008 is looking good. I hope that games such as the ones Dogfishrisings listed live up to the original Playstation's name. Perhaps I will get myself a PS3 soon. At the sametime I think Microsoft has a lot of new franchises coming out which makes some of the 2008 releases for the Xbox 360 obsolete to the Playstation 3. But games like Alan Wake(PC and Xbox 360) and other new franchise are a good risk. AND! New successful franchises create competition, and possibly innovative thinking in the industry.

Gears of War, Bioshock, Mass Effect et al. can all be played on the 360 and not the PS3. Therfore the 360s lineup of games for 2007 is better than the Ps3's as the critics ratings are very much higher than those for the PS3 on average as well as the Wii. therefor, out of the consoles, the 360 has the best lineup of games for 2007. Does this really need to be explained to you?

Assuming we're talking consoles since generations are being mentioned (PC don't share this limitation). I'm no lemming in fact I'm pissed b/c I'm waiting for my third Xbox 360 to come back to me... but their library is just more well rounded. It kind of makes sense considering it's duration in the market compared to the other consoles.-RPGamer-

Only your third? Wait until you get to your fourth. I am not joking either I am seriously on my fourth. In all honesty if the PS3 had an equally good and reliable online service, the same exclusives, and large library like the 360 I would buy it over my 360 that never fails in dying out after six months. BTW for the TC you can't just start your argument by discrediting a bunch of 360 exclusives by giving lame excuses like "COD4 is better than Halo 3" which may be true. Of course I can't stop you seeing as you already did but it just makes your argument seem incredibly weak.

The point is that even with the Wii60 and 360PC craze it was never necessary to combine libraries to compensate for a lack of games. It was never meant to be damage control over a shortage of games or to bash another console.
