Why do people act like Cows have been waiting for Home for 5 years?

Guys, it was announced LAST YEAR.

It's been delayed a lot of times, but it has NOT been delayed a LONG time. One year is nothing, and the open beta is set to come out this Fall.

There's a difference between being delayed many times, and being delayed over a course of 4-5 years.

I'm surprised all of the hate for Home doesn't translate into other things that HAVE been delayed over the course of years, like Splinter Cell Conviction, Final Fantasy 13, Alan Wake, Gran Turismo 5, etc.

I agree. Can't people stop complaining about the release of Home? It's already out in beta form*, anyway.

Well, FFXIII has gone multiplay so you won't see Lems bash it (unless they're anti RPG) and GT5 has been bashed for delays aswell.

It was announced in March 2007 so Cows have been waiting for 19 months. That's a long time, but not a ridiculously long time.Floppy_Jim

That's all i'm trying to say. I'm not saying it's okay that it's been delayed so much, I think it should've come out by now, but it's not long enough for people to keep bashing it and make posts talking about 'haha will this happen first or will Home finally come out' comparing it to something else that's taken a long time. It's just rediculous and I think some people actually BELIEVE that it's been delayed as long as some other things so I wanted to set it straight.

I believe it has, but Home is practically an MMO, and 3 years isn't that long when they're trying to be able to have millions of people on at the same time and get everything working properly.

As far as i'm concerned Final Fantasy 13 should've been done before Home, but that doesn't get as much hate.

Because when it was announced its release was supposed to be fairly imminent. It has since been delayed numerous times and still doesn't have a firm release date. Plus they are no longer releasing home but the Home beta.

Good point. Something as ambitious as Home takes time. Plus it's only been a year and a half since we found out about it.

But look at it like this. I'm sure MS started work on the NXE starting in 2007, but they just decided not to announce it this year. The difference in announcement times have had people going nuts.

Sony learns from Google in the advert business :). I think it's genius that they are taking it to the next level for the video game market.

I'm pleased that they are doing this. That way PS3 owners keep free online functionality while Sony is able to keep adding new features at no cost for us.

You left Halo Wars, Huxley, and Age of Conan for Xbox 360 off the list... but yeah people just use whatever ammo they can to bash Sony because it's been nothing but good news for PS3 all year long.eisenhiem

If they release a game, console or service on time even though they no its not ready people get mad and upset that that they didn't hold it back for fixing. (ex Microsoft xbox 360) :evil:

And if a company decides to delay something because they know its not ready and want it to be so for release people complain

personally I'd rather have something late and done right. However I feel for companies who work on both sides because they just cant win.

the nxe is just a mii/home rip off and its been delayed twice , beats them releasing it to early filled with faults like M$ did with 360
