why is the Wii selling so well?

Because they want one?

IMO, I'd say Wii Sports brings in the casuals/nongamers and more hardcore gamers get it for Zelda and the great games coming out this year.

Nintendo fans buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games.

As for anyone else, who knows. It could be the price. It could be the Wiimote. It could be games that interest them. It could be a combination of the three.

Because people who think the X360 and PS3 is too expensive prefer to buy the Wii, even if it has inferior everything...Beside who cares right? I mean the rest of us enjoy the 360 and PS3 right?

- Controller
- More "casual" games
- Nintendo's reputation
- Future Nintendo games (SSBB, MP3, Mario Galaxy)
- People like to hit their friends with the Wiimote

Strikers just came out at the end of July. Its barely been out 2 weeks.

And the Wii is selling because people want it. When people want something, they aim to get it. Thats often how it works

Cheap? If nintendo is charging 250$ for a system that is worth more than 50$ less, it isn't cheap. Besides - 250$ for a wii, 280$ for a core 360. Don't even say the core suck, as its good enough if all you want to do is play games.

Well I bought one because it looked fun...and it is. :P

Of course, owning a 360 doesn't hurt when either of the two is going through a slow time. Still, people by the Wii for the same reason they buy 360/PS3's. To have fun. Isn't that enough?

Most profesional reviews rated Strikes AA.

Wii is fun and it doesn't cost a lot. Plus a lot of people want the big 3 + Mario Kart.

Great fix to an awful analogy. Okay, it's really not so awful. Apparently CB4McGusto was trying to imply that PS3/360 owners only care about superficial outside looks while Wii owners prefer what it can deliver beyond its initial looks.
