I'm thinking about going back and playing it, but there were GLARING flaws.
- The travel ruined the game. I don't mind navigating a map and choosing how to get to a town/objective, but even when driving a civilian vehicle you would be constantly chased and fired at the entire time.
- You just had to deal with getting chased all the time, because even if you take out your enemies they would come right back. And that checkpoint you destroyed a minute ago while fleeing (even if you blew the damned thing up with mortars or other explosions)? It will be back and fully patrolled by new guards, who will hop in their vehicles and chase you down.
- In a crowded FPS market, the game's online component didn't do a single thing to differentiate itself. One of the most generic multiplayer experiences of this gen that I've played.
- The gunplay also wasn't very satisfying. Hit detection seemed a bit off.
The game seemed to have great ideas, and I had fun at times planning and selecting the equipment I'd like to use, but the flaws just killed the game for me. I have a ton of free time on my hands now, so maybe I'll give it another shot.
