[QUOTE="Gxgear"]Because every lemming owns an arcade 360, so $200 > $400.
Who needs yearly XBL gold or HDD or WiFi anyways? :roll:

Seems only fair that Lemmings claim "every Lemmings owns an Arcade" since the OP didn't consider anything but the Elite in his comparison ;) Go figure, Lemmings consider nothing but the most favourable seeming case, cows consider nothing but the least favourable, and everybody conveniently ignores the happy middle ground that most people actually own..PS3 and 360 elite has the most comparable features out of thebox. Even in the most 360 favourable situation (cheaperst one for each console), the 360 eventually catches up in yearly expense of XBL gold alone.
Most favourable? I think not. It just seems that way because of the results. Feel free to suggest a "happy middle ground".
It's sad to see lemmings arguing about this using the viewpoint of the most uneducated portion of the gaming community, and unquestionably embrace it despite its flaws.
Bottom line is, $400 is too much for people to afford in one purchase, not many people see consoles as investments (which they are) and are unable to look ahead in the future for possible additional expenses. Common pitfall for the average consumer, and M$ exploits it masterfully.
