Why do ppl think that Uncharted 2 multiplayer is just a add-on?

So just because the single player out shines the multiplayer its just an add-on? Naughty Dog had TWO teams working on the game. 1 for the single player and the other for the multiplayer. Uncharted 2 has LOTS of diffrent modes. (i heard it has 15 from ign). all you guys have played is a beta that feutures 2 maps and 3 modes. sure the multiplayer isnt ground breaking but so what. ground breaking games dont come out as often as you would think. if you think that uncharted 2 multiplayer is just a add-on then what would gears2 online be? at least uncharted 2 wont be released with a lag fest multiplayer that just made the game unplayable and host cheating or w.e its called. the first gears had a better multiplayer then the second imo. the only reason ppl dont call gears2 multiplayer just a "add-on" is because the single player is just not good enoguh to out shine it. the only thing i liked about gears 2 is the horde mode but guess what uncharted 2 has the same mode also.

just look at this Video...does that look like an "add-on" to you? does that beutiful graphics, beutifill level design look liek an "add-on" to you? what does gears have that U2 doesnt? a chainsaw? ok...U2 has stealth kills, platforms to climb, a live feuture that allows the devs to update the multiplayer without the use of a PATCH, so when you think you know where somthing is, its going to be moved somewhere els, that way it keeps the game fresh. a cinema mode like halo 3 but better. perks to use, skins to unlock, and more...

i too see the mp as an add on. the platforming and story is where its at. naughty dog didnt make the game based on a multilayer aspect.Meowmixxvi

I think there's still time but I just got into the Beta by registering with fileplanet (EU users only though).

Having been part of the beta I can say this is not a selling point for the game. I will enjoy the singleplayer and probably never play it again. The market has to many amazing online games to waste time with this.

MP of any kind is an add on. Unless the game is only about MP (TF2, Counterstrike etc.) MP is just something there to increase the replay value of a game.clubsammich91
